The anachronistic CD Transport? And do I really need one.
Thanks all!  I was unaware of the Cambridge and its quality--although Cambridge does make very good to great gear and doesn't get enough respect in my mind.  I like the Audiolab too.
Why so many angry audiophiles?
@mapman , I agree.  I'm not sure what it is.  I'm on other forums unrelated or less related to this one and folks are more open and excited just to have others with the same interests to "talk to/with"--i.e. guitar forums, diy audio forums, etc.  ...
V-Cap CuTF .22 on Gain Tubes-- Primaluna Dialogue HP Integrated
Erik, I the topic of modifying a Primaluna, I think it’s a superb idea. You can pick up some models inexpensively and they are built like tanks.   The company did a wonderful job of layout abs features. The caps are an area that they likely had to...

I'm using MiFlex copper in a preamp project I'm working on.  I haven't heard them yet.  I'm taking a chance on them.
Better Amp for Cornwall IV's...
@OP,  I have the Cornwall IVs.  I agree with so much above.  They are very versatile--you could swap amps to your hearts content to change the sound.  How big is your room?  How loud do you like to listen? I do think you should try tubes or Class ...
V-Cap CuTF .22 on Gain Tubes-- Primaluna Dialogue HP Integrated
Erik,  the Audyn True Copper are great caps.  Things are opening up quickly.  I really like what I'm hearing.  The PL is smoother and clearer than before.  It's closer to my 300B, which actually uses a touch of negative feedback and some describe ...

All I can say so far (two hours in) is the Audyn’s have more texture on McCartney III. Let’s see how things improve.
V-Cap CuTF .22 on Gain Tubes-- Primaluna Dialogue HP Integrated
@erik_squires ,  The VCAPs wouldn't fit elsewhere--other than linked to the two gain preamp tubes. So, I was looking at that Audio True Copper and AudioNote as these caps are smaller and would arguably fit.  I ordered 8 Audyn True Copper .22uF tha...

Anyone have experience with the Tung Sol 7581a vs. EL34, KT66, KT88, 6L6
After a long break from the 7581a tubes, I swapped them back in.  I was using Gold Lion KT77 reissues--great tube. The 7581a adds a bit of the power that the KT150 has and it seemingly has more headroom.  But, I say that without checking the specs...
Technics 1200 G a Forever Turntable?
I have a 1200 GAE.  It is likely my forever table, and it is certainly worthy of fitting that bill for me.  Previously I had a Roksan and an Origin Live, which were belt driven lovely tables, but persnickety.  The Technics is rock solid. I do wish...
RIP Tony Rice
He is a legend. So sad.  He was too young.
To those running Klipsch Forte IIIs...
The used market for Forte IIIs is healthy.  I had mine for 27 months and sold them for $2600.  [I upgraded to Cornwall IVs]. I'd be curious to see the Forte IV, as the III was a great design in its own right.

@erik_squires ,  Always good to see you here E!  Yes, I was looking at those too.  The VCAP CuTF won't fit anywhere else--I don't think.  These were work themselves.  I'm going to see if the Audio True Copper fit.
