the ohm. legendary(certainly not wannabes), and i guess given the prices of mbl...a steal in comparison.

Which speaker for my system?
believe it or not...the quatro(a nice speaker) is only going to be a small step up given the money you'll spend. the blues play way over their price. 
classic sounding 25 watt tube amp
the vas monos sound pretty retro to me..in a very classic 8b, or citation kinda way. perhaps there are many opinions about 'neutral'. the entry level rogue also has more of the same magic. 
New to Analog
the marantz...which is made by clearaudio may be the best bang for the buck...its no slouch. if the thorens is a museum piece....not 'pretty good' but a genuine 'freak' in near mint condition, you will likely never have a desire to change.

Gallos how good are they?
the gallos are good, as are the merlins. the ohm however would be a blue collar mbl....and a benchmark for an out- of-the-box design.

its not good to give a stranger a routing number. tell your bank, just in case.

the ht300 is still made. not up to par with the older braun designs. the 710, 810, etc are all classic
