Martin Logan 13A's with Rel subs? A match? I am confused, am I correct in thinking the Logan 13A has room correction in their powered subs and go down to 24hz? I bet they go as low or lower than most of the rels minutes top few models.
Double up on speaker cables It will lower the resistance and not do much else the power will follow the path of least resistance.
Sonus Faber Amati vs. Wilson Sasha V (and perhaps vs. Focal n3) I have alway found wilson to out perform Sonus Faber at the same price points for my tastes. The Wilson just seems more dynamic which is driven from the better bass with better leading edge impact. I have a duel system myself and honestly home...
Sonus Faber Electa Amator III vs. the Bowers and Wilkins 805 D4? Both are a touch bright at the top end. The Sonus Faber has a dip in the upper mids where B&W has a peak. My local shop as both in at one point but not side by side. I walked away thinking both were pretty colored. I would take the comment...

Help with inwall sub amp You could use a crown amp which has a crossover in it. Another option would be in wall subs from SVS that comes with an amp. https://www.svsound.com/products/3000-in-wall-subwoofer
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? Hilde45 the Seneca/Hudson are brand new, I just thought it looked interesting. Steve Guttenberg called it the “best sound” of Axpona for what it is worth. That does not mean too much to me but does say that the speaker is more or less designe...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? Ampsandsound Seneca is another speakers that falls in this wheel house. Looks nice too. They have gotten good comments from shows but I have not heard much about them, nor hear them. https://ampsandsound.com/products/seneca-2way-speaker

Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? I can say owning a pair of horns has changed what I feel is important about hifi. The highly dynamic speakers just sound more real, as in less reproduced. I struggle to enjoy my other speakers now. I think the thing to understand with horns is...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed? Hilde45, your remarks on the Cornwall match my opinions. I demoed them 3 times at different dealers on McIntosh solid state and their 275 tube amp. I find them a bit harsh and wore my ears out but they were cranked (by choice) in all fairness. I ...

Marantz vs. Arcam I too have been thinking about using powered surrounds and height speakers (708p all around with my 4367s as mains)…. Only money right lol. For what it is worth I have owned integra, onkyo, denon, Sony, and Marantz. below is are short comments...
Marantz vs. Arcam I have a Marantz Cinema 60 and normally I use HT bypass on my preamp for music. I tried the Cinema 60 for the first time with music (2ch) the other day as a preamp (Mc462 as amp) with no room correction. It honestly seemed fine. I did feel like th...
Mcintosh C49 C55 C2700 C2800 Well I have heard all the last gen (49,2700 and 53). In isolation they are all 100% fine and you probably could not guess which one you were using. I personally hate replacing tubes and would go with the C53. If you are all digital the MDA200 ... |
