Revel Performa F228 Be speaker... thoughts?
Well I impulse bought a pair of these 228bes. They were a screaming deal, new in the box at used prices. I am still working through the setup with only about 5 hours on them but my opinion of them remains the same as my comments above. This is a v...

I use a polymer based car wax on all my speaker. I have been doing this for 20 years and it has worked out well. Just use oil on wood. Wax on paint.
Focal 1028+Mcintosh MC275
Mac C8 tube pre might be safer with a solid state amp. $4500 I think. https://www.mcintoshlabs.com/products/preamplifiers/C8
Any JBL 4367 owners or opinion?
Ohlala, thanks for the input. I own and would be using two 12” subs highpassed to the 4367s. I currently use a MC462 that is 450 watts into 4 ohms. I see some comments about people not like Mac with JBL but I see a lot of picture with Mac and JBL…....
Focal 1028+Mcintosh MC275
I have heard both those pieces but not together. You should be fine to run them together. Probably will sound nice. Last time I heard the MC275 was on a pair of B&W 805D3 and it did a good job of taming the highs.
A friend told me JBL DD67000 is actually very bad speaker, is it true?
Doodle,I also like the Salons and have come to the same place as you on a cheaper scale. After listening to a bunch of different stuff I have come to understand that I am super picky about frequency response (flat) and impulse response (impact or ...
Klipsch Forte III verses Heresy IVs
Having heard both the forte iii and IV the IV is worth waiting for a deal on. The different crossover design/drivers make a big difference. I know you don’t want other speaker speaker recommendations but… it is audiogon lol, so… the JBL 590 is wor...
A friend told me JBL DD67000 is actually very bad speaker, is it true?
Doodle,Interesting for sure. JBL’s lack of US marketing is interesting to say the least but there seems to be consistently good impressions/reviews/measurements of their latest offerings (specifically the 4367 and M2). I have thought about buying ...
Klipsch Forte III verses Heresy IVs
Without subs? 100% the Forte III. The Heresy has no bass extension and needs subs.

Any JBL 4367 owners or opinion?
Yes I think the 4367 looks very interesting. The coaxial mid/tweet horn design catches my attention for sure.

Maybe everyone is enjoying their 4367s so they have no need to read forums anymore lol.
Sonus Faber vs Wilson
tonywinga,You have a really nice system and room BTW. I have no complaint with Wilson really other than the cost. One more thing to try before throwing cash at the system. If you have the ability to highpass the subs and cut the lows out of the ma...
Sonus Faber vs Wilson
tonywinga,I once almost went from Thiel 2.4s to Wilson Sophia 3 for the improved bass. I ended up buying two subs and high passing them at 60hz and have surprisingly been happy. My system is a bit upside down now with my speakers only making up 25...
Integrated Amplifier for B&W 803 D3
The current line of McIntosh is more neutral and the older models. Not that they are better than other things. Just a decent option. I think Mac helps take the edge off the upper mids and highs of the B&W. Just a hair soft where the B&W ar...
