Like extended warranties and a "prime" membership for fast shipping, these offers create a revenue stream in exchange for services a company is already providing.  If such a membership included sneak previews of new ads or discounts on sales commi...
Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat
That's quite an improvement, Fleschler!  All that, and no change in components = great value.
Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat
What I like about the E mats is that they allow your system to sound as it should. They show you your system is much better than you thought.

Underrated album: Sonics AND Music
Jim Lauderdale's "Wait Til Spring", backed by the group Donna The Buffalo is very enjoyable, and Donna The Buffalo's "Rockin' In the Weary Land" is also a treat. Both are sonically very good.
Solid State vs. Tubes - What if Transistors came first?
Well, I once asked over on the analog forum if vinyl had never existed, would it even be invented today----mind boggling.

Yes, one mat to start will bring great improvements.  I noticed the difference in one hour under my CD player with my first mat, and in eight hours with the second mat, placed alongside the first to cover the entire chassis.  Of course, the improv...
Which band IS really America's Greatest (rock & roll band)?
I love the 19th Century lyrical themes from "The Band".  The historical ballads, the old-time sound, the small-town feel and their forlorn, back-woods style of singing are steeped in tradition, e.g., "Acadian Driftwood", "Cripple Creek", and "The ...
Which band IS really America's Greatest (rock & roll band)?
The "most American" band would have to be "Indigenous", three siblings and a cousin from the Nakota Nation, So. Dakota.  Listen to "Things We Do", their first album, 1998.  Blues guitar phenom in the style of SRV.
Little-known Gems
The CD quality isn't bad at all, n80, depending on system.  Can hear it on You Tube, vinyl is listed,
Your (perfect) record
Albums that are equally good on both sides? That was always a tough decision when totally baked---seems one side usually got more play.  CD's are easier--just program a few out.  One I think is great throughout is Brian Auger & The Oblivion Ex...
Which band IS really America's Greatest (rock & roll band)?
The Doobie Brothers were/are as great live as in the studio, with hit songs inseparable from American pop culture.

Something to ask Tim:  How big is the field effect from the cards?  They aren't very thick and were reported to have been made for cell phones.  If you could get one inside the equipment---might work better, not sure.
Step Down Transformers?!
Bearotti, you’re on the right track with 240V/120V. I use the RGPC RM Pro that delivers 4000 watts and the RGPC 1200C for the front end, which is also power on demand---their ISO Gray combination. The Power House contains both of these, I believe....
