Review of Quadratic MC-1 SUT With Comparisons to Other SUTs
@three_easy_payments I have to say, I’m really disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm and engagement on this thread following all the efforts and truly useful listening comparisons you’ve conducted and decided to share. This should be the essen...

There is also no, “I’m not a robot” box anymore. Seems now it only appear when you want to start a discussion.
What went bang, smelled of "I'm fried", yet left it in working order...???
Check the MOV?
Want to make sure I have the correct settings for my phono pre-amp
I guess I can try it, shouldn't hurt anything Agree, you can try High output or Low output with any Gain setting to achieve best control of volume level with highest signal to noise ratio possible.
Want to make sure I have the correct settings for my phono pre-amp
According to specs: Phono Stage:             MM:                            60 dB, 5 mV              MC High:                    75 dB, 0.5 mV – 1.5 mV             MC Low:                    85 dB, 0.25 mV – 0.5 mV If 60,75 and 85 dB are gain...

@sfseay I don"t think that is the case, when I post this discussion, I saw two identical posts. @carlsbad I go to "My Profile" and click on "Discussions started" to delete the duplicated one.
“This discussion is closed”
I posted a discussion few minutes ago and it doubled, I think there's a bug and admin should look into it. BTW, I can delete one of the same discussion by go into the page "Discussions I has started".
Splitter on gpa 555!pre amp output
Does anyone know if because I had two GFA 555s bridged it causes a need for a non common ground cable? Yes, If you use the original interconnect cable to connect both Polk SDA 2B together while using two bridged GFA 555 to power the speakers, i...
Splitter on gpa 555!pre amp output
If you want to play all 4 speakers simultaneously, run both amps independently in stereo and remove the GFS-3 speaker selector is the best approach. By the way, your GFP555 has two sets of output - Main and Bypass. It is safe to connect one GFA55...
Splitter on gpa 555!pre amp output
You have a GFP-555 preamp, two GFA-555 power amp, a GFS-3 speaker selector and two pair of speakers and want to connect all these thing up? Please tell us how you want it to be setting up, play both pair of speakers at the same time? or you want ...
Splitter on gpa 555!pre amp output
Each of the gfa 555 input impedance is 22kohm, using a splitter your preamp will see a 11kohm load. If your preamp output impedance is 1kohm or lower it should be fine, otherwise the low frequency output will reduced.
Speaker selector that won't degrade sound
What's is depressing is that I have all this expensive speaker cable and then I'm going thru THAT!  Kind of a waste I think. Why not build one using high quality switches with silver contacts like the NKK S822 and high quality binding posts fro...
Speaker selector that won't degrade sound
Theoretically, all switches will degrade sound quality, only you can determine if you can hear the difference in your system. My suggestion is try one and find out Specialty AV SP71 Most transformer coupled tube amp need a load connected to i...
