Looking for a CD / SACD player. Also, tell me about Esoteric
I'm a fan of Esoteric and have an old DV-50 which still sounds really good considering how old it is.  I'd look at a used K-01x.   Good luck!

"I feel pretty lucky in having a wife who loves music as much as I do. My life wouldn't be nearly as full without music OR her in it." Agreed!  I am blessed with an amazing woman. OP - Sorry to hear about your divorce, but sometimes it's the onl...
??? Anyone Running Active Speakers Driven By A Tube PreAmp ???
??? No ???
Class A\B or D for summer months (vs Class A)
I hate to sound like a shill for Infigo, but they have a cool Class-A technology. Excellent sounding amplifiers and do not put out much heat.
Need a modern Class A monoblock, preferably half or compact chassis
Infigo Method 3 sounds fantastic and it likely the correct size for what you're looking for.
Solid state amp that tube fan can be happy with?
Infigo Method 3 monos are excellent.
Pass....Accuphase....or......

Micromega M-100 with MARS or Copland CSA 70

Who is Roon?

If you HAD to purchase a used (over 4 years old) DAC, what would it be?
I've always wanted an older Levinson DAC like the 360S, that's probably where I'd be shopping.  :)
BEST SPEAKER THAT COMES TO LIFE AT LOW LISTENING LEVELS
I've heard MC Audio TL-12's at low volumes and they sounded excellent.  Worth a listen if you're near PA as they offer auditions.

question for SLP05 owners:
I don't remember it getting hot, but it was at least 15 years ago since I had the SLP-05 so take that with a grain of salt!
Stereophile review of the new Wilson Watt/Puppy
I haven't read the review, nor have I heard the latest Watt/Puppy's but in true Audiogon fashion, it won't stop me from responding!  :) Maybe he's really trying to say is to stick to the high quality recordings, which are typically Jazz and Orche...
question for SLP05 owners:
I had them stacked without issue for several years.
