Good CDs to Test Your System
CDs are excellent media. Here are some things which were especially good at revealing what you're asking about:1. Brian Eno's Apollo CD is excellent. A variety of complicated events, at various points across the left/right soundstage and forward a...
Detecting differences among cables
@williewonka Great post. Thanks for spelling out the factors which helped you identify a difference rather than just claiming that those who can’t hear the difference are just bad listeners. In the debate about cables or anything else, "naysayers"...
Poor Fritz
@decooney Your answer may be the best one I’ve ever read on this common question. It is exactly the kind of answer that makes me wish Audiogon could have a FAQ page in each category.
Could Audiogon create some FAQ pages in each Forum Category?
@jperry That looks very good but not quite an "instead of" IMHO.
Earl Wild Chopin Etudes
Thanks so much for this recommendation! I will see if I can stream it, too.
What's your favorite boutique speaker maker
+1 @douglas_schroeder , @jriggy The word "boutique" has a pretty standard meaning which may or may not align with high quality. Like the local one-of-a-kind restaurant in your neighborhood, it may or may not be good, but it is not mass-production,...
If you could, what live performances would you enjoy re-living?

Could Audiogon create some FAQ pages in each Forum Category?
@isochronism Oh, I thought there was some kind of special function. I have used the search at Audiogon extensively. It comes out with pages and pages of hits, and while it can sort by relevance, it comes out with too many thread hits, and then, ev...

Great topics, jjss49. I’m sure with a glass of wine I could list about 100. I think the moderators may be interested, too. @isochronism, I'm not sure what you mean by adding a *. Please explain further?

Ok, so I see there are some good ideas and some skeptics. And some snark.I remain hopeful, and look forward to constructive ideas from other members.

You make a good point, but I'm not thinking of those people. I'm thinking of people like myself, who use Google and search engines extensively and yet there are searches where there are so many results that it's really hard to find that great thre...
Poor Fritz
People, don't forget the pledge not to feed the...+1 goose. Yes if they came from England or Denmark. Or, if Fritz had a huge facility or if he had a staff, with wages and benefits, or if he had a webmaster or a PR person…and on and on. What would...
