Apple Music hi Rez sound quality? My take. My family dragged me into Apple Music and I'm trying it now. I stopped Amazon HD so I could eliminate just one subscription of the way-too-many we have but barely use. (Anyone else feel that pain?)
How long does Class A have? I have solar panels that cover 72% of our family use and I buy energy credits to make up the rest.Until we get out of gas cars and flying all over the place, Class A amps is a drop in the ocean. They sound great. They will continue to be made, sol...
why would the left channel on my stereo die? It happened to me on my Adcom amplifier. It was a blown fuse. If you unplug the amp, find the fuses and pop them out, hold them up to the light, and try to see if the wire running through them is severed. Inexpensive and easy to fix.
Within a 30 day trial with Van Alstine SET 400; seeking comparisons @arcticdeth No recent experiences with better solid state to report. I'll try an Ayre or Hegel etc. soon, but I'm building a media room.
Thoughts? 26' rectangular room -- 2 channel on one short wall, 5.1 on the other Thanks, Elliott. I think I'll leave the more expensive option for subs just in case I move stuff around.
Thoughts? 26' rectangular room -- 2 channel on one short wall, 5.1 on the other @elliott Don't know why it's not working. I've already spoken to the electrician, incorporating what advice I could.
Thoughts? 26' rectangular room -- 2 channel on one short wall, 5.1 on the other I’m strongly inclined NOT to try to combine the electronics, first, but to aim for two distinct systems.
Thoughts? 26' rectangular room -- 2 channel on one short wall, 5.1 on the other Elliot, Thanks for the reply -- and you have a delightful looking system. Good pointers to keep in mind and much appreciated.@freediver Waste of $$'s is a non-sequitur -- I already have the two systems. So, trying to distill something relevant f...
ROOM DAMPING - CHOOSING THE CORRECT SUPPLIERS AND MATERIALS My experience with GIK and Real Traps is as follows:I have a room with a variety of issues, especially below 200 hz. I managed to get a hold of GIK's corner traps, HF limited bass traps, diffusers. To be precise:https://www.gikacoustics.com/product...
ROOM DAMPING - CHOOSING THE CORRECT SUPPLIERS AND MATERIALS I had the most luck with GIK and RealTraps. RealTraps much more effective on bass for me than GIK.

Class A Power in A/B amplifiers? I'm not sure whether there are "industry standards" of this kind for audio. Much of what I've read on audio forums, reviews, etc. do not point back to such, either governmental (à la the FCC) or professional.
How are most audiophiles going from streamers to DACS @fuzztoneObvious. But "most" of us do not have a Node > Denefrips with his ears.Ah, so by your standards, since none of us have *his* ears he shouldn't have even asked the question? Give me a break. He wanted advice and to learn and voila! Lots...
