McIntosh -- good for show, not for sound, says dealer
Took a couple days off social media. I see things are still going. Reviewing the video and this thread, it’s clear that the video is not really about McIntosh. Jay (who made his own video about McInstosh) missed the what I think is the main point...
my impression with the Auralic Altair G1
@lobinero Do you think the main improvement was the streaming ability of the Auralic or the quality of the DAC built in? Because once I bypass my Bluesound's DAC and go out to my Orchid, it sounds really good.
Why dealers disparage certain products?
Thanks to those who can read. A youtube post to thousands of people about audio is of interest to...audio hobbyists! Surprise! I was invoked in this thread to be attacked for...bringing a video to light? To ask if others agree or disagree with som...
Why dealers disparage certain products?
@dinov So, you’re fanning some flames on me, but that’s not what I did, which was clearly explained in the OP and in subsequent emails from me. What you're doing is uncool and could easily be done to you. You don't want that, and neither do I.

@femoore12  Thank you for your post. If we're alike, sometimes we both read things quickly and respond quickly. I appreciate you following up.
I treated my room !
@adrianleewelch  You sound like you're really proceeding in a sensitive and attentive way. All I can add is that there are phases where I thought I was "done" and then it took a while to just live with the sound for a while. That's really an impor...
I treated my room !
Congrats, OP. Good work and you will probably have my experience, which was to slowly try moving things or even taking a few away. I definitely went in the direction of over-damping, and it was a subtle process to get the "air" back into my room. ...

@stephens770 Ok OP, no disrespect but that was a very ignorant post. None of my 8 pieces of Mc gear did I buy for looks. Nor am I stuck in any way in my decisions. Are you saying that you know for a fact that his Rolland 625’s sound better in m...

I go back to my Lexus comparison. Lexus owners, as with McIntosh don't have an inferiority complex. They enjoy what they have and don't feel the need to bash others. I agree, and I suspect that the YouTube guy would say "Enjoy what you want. It...
Bluesound Node 2021 DAC - I sold my Denafrips Ares II
@dtximages  Audiophiles will always tell you what's most expensive, new, and interesting is "better".  Few of them are honest enough to admit they too can be deceived.   Thank god you're here, then.

@wlutke My mistake! Thanks for the correction -- and the suggestion.

FYI, the Mhdt orchid has a built in linear power supply, so adding one makes no sense.

@jjss49  fascinating to me what transpires on this thread, not sure if this is what @hilde45 intended with his op I didn't know how people would react. Here is how I see things. As the article I posted weeks ago show (from a well research Japa...

@vuch  I agree. Peace.

Turning people against one another is one way of looking at what he says. I look at it like that's his opinion. Saying he's turning people against one another feeds into permanent disagreement and division. That's your opinion of what's happening...
