Beginner improvements for room acoustics; very helpful Darko video on reverb and RT60 @djones51 I'm interested to hear you say that about Darko. Your posts have always struck me as exceptionally well-informed, and I get a good impression from Darko, too. Can you tell me why you think he is generally untrustworthy or at least someo...
Upgrading my Rouge Cronus 11 to what? How about from Rogue to Rouge? https://en.rougeaudiodesign.com
Beginner improvements for room acoustics; very helpful Darko video on reverb and RT60 From an acoustic perspective, any normal sized domestic room is small. I suggest you watch the video. Darko clearly states that this is not about low frequencies. If folks watch the video, they will see why RT60 is relevant.
What Power Cords for Rel S510 Subs? @jetter +1 REL seems like a reputable company that makes a great product. Trust and customer satisfaction are key to their success. Lying to customers about a power cord would be beyond stupid. They wouldn't do that.
Beginner improvements for room acoustics; very helpful Darko video on reverb and RT60 @onhwy61 I think small rooms are not helped by RT60, but Darko's room and many others are not small. I'll look for criteria regarding "small." You're raising a good point, and it would help everyone to know at what point RT60 is not applicable.
Upgrading Bluesound Node power supply with PD Creative (Hans B. reviews on Youtube) question i have, is whether the ps upgrade of a node 2i affects the analog output section mainly, or if there is in fact proportional improvement of the digital stream it sends to downstream dacs outboard of it That is THE critical question. What Power Cords for Rel S510 Subs? I tested this with a Pangea 9awg cord on a REL 328-R. Couldn't hear a difference after an hour of back and forth testing. So, I wrote to REL. REL reported to me, when I asked, that they did testing and third party cords didn't make any difference....
Upgrading Bluesound Node power supply with PD Creative (Hans B. reviews on Youtube) @rboogie -- that's great. For me, if I have the time, I will get a much better streamer (with a return policy) and then A/B it with my BS configuration (both going out to my DAC) in order to see if there's any truth to the testimony about Lumin, A...
Is blasphemous Music ok? @bdp24 I was thinking about best microbrew, but sure politics works too. ;-) In all seriousness, has there ever been more political music than the blues? It's an art form which developed in response to oppression.
Is blasphemous Music ok? Music taking on religion is much more easily tolerated than music taking on other topics, in my experience.
Sub Confusion + @noromance + @bdp24 + @yogiboy I have a REL. I have Rythmiks. Both are good subs. Rythmiks are better values and more integrateable. You could have a couple Rythmiks and a better integrated room for the price of one new REL, IMO.
Which component to upgrade 1st ? @lalitk Good suggestion on Node mods. I am curious if you have auditioned and compared any of the offerings from Lumin or Aurender with your modified Node. I have not. I'd like to. From what I have heard, especially from very experienced peop...
Which component to upgrade 1st ? For very little money, replace the power board in the bluesound with another from PD Creative and get an external power supply. For a few hundred dollars, it ups the game of the Bluesound by a lot.
Would you spend you money on modest brand new car or rather buy top notch vintage one? The whole question reposes in the details, no? In other words, it could go either way, depending. In 3...2...1...
OMG. What now? @closenplay I'm not a psychologist. Just seemed like a commonsense observation drawn from other experiences. |
