Review: Krell KSA-150 Amplifier Good review and I second your comments as a Krell owner. All these people who trash Krell must have a weak link in the chain because my good recordings sound fantastic and my bad recordings sound unlistenable. Krell reveals it all without sugar co...
Do you rember your first? The year was 1975. Sansui 9090 receiver, TEAC Cassette deck, Thorens TD-145 with Ortofon cartridge, JBL L-166 speakers and zip cord cabling. Discwasher to clean records. Was a decent system and my sister still uses the Sansui 9090 and Thorens turn...
Any photography experts out there? Now we know how Albert can afford his incredible system and why his photos of such are excellent.
Wilson Witt vs Proac studio 250 Forget the Witt speaker. Dave Wilson buried that one quickly as it had terrible reviews and sonically was his worst. I have owned Wilson's for years and enjoyed my Watt/Puppies 5.1's, but think the 6's are much better. Now, the reviews of the Watt...
Lovan: Stereophile recommended disappointment. I have the Lovan rack for my equipment and can't stand it! I am with you, it is cheapo stuff and wish I had seen it before I bought. It always looks better in the catalogue. Good warning to others considering Lovan. Forget it.
Under Appreciated Jazz Piano Players Hey, what about Oscar Peterson and Andre Previn?
New Orleans Jazz LPs My wife ordered me some records from Music Direct last Christmas and she told the guy I liked New Orleans Jazz and he told my wife he had some great stuff for $5/album. My wife thought, hey, $5, new vinyl, I'll take a chance. I have really enjoyed...
Help Any Krell KRC Owners For 2200 you should be getting the KRC-HR, not just the KRC. I had the later but can't remember if the mute button muted the tape...I think just the volume. Very dynamic, open, revealing soundstage. Make sure your other equipment is of equal quali...

Saddended by the death of Maurice Gibb Since other grown men have come out of the closet to admit they appreciate the Bee Gee's I can now confess how much I love The Bee Gee's Greatest Hits Volume 1. Great music even today..I only wished I could have had the courage to be the first to ...
Theta reliability If you are referring to the big laser disc unit, the universal theta transport, I had drawer problems with mine. However, I sent it back to Theta and they fixed it and had it back to me within 9 days including the shipping time. Cost me $50 to fix...
Expensive vinyl rig - still not performing ;- Call Brian at the Analog Room in San Jose and see if he can fix your turntable problem. Maybe you could bring it in and have him adjust it etc., maybe even connect it to one of his systems, get it right, then bring it home to enjoy. Good luck.
Should I Upgrade My Krells I ditto Nrchy's comments on Krell equipment as I too have owned it for years and have had many different models. An FPB Krell amp is a major improvement over what you are using now and sonically will be a big improvement. However, I also agree you...
Best Amp & Pre-amp combo for under $2000 ??? I would see if you can find the Meitner PA-6i preamp with phono and Meitner MTR-101 100 watt monoblock amps. Ed Meitner only builds professional equipment now, but this stuff is incredible...very stylish looking, small boxes that can be stacked, w...
Hi end audio who cares Congratulations and thanks to all the above who contributed to this thread. Wow! To think I thought I was the only one who has experienced those comments. Total confirmation the uninitiated just don't get it and it's no use trying to convert them.... |
