French Doors
If it already hasn't been mentioned, check the demo and let know you have a concern for rattles too.
Wierd Imaging Problem
When you have tight fitting RCA's like that, twist the RCA clockwise while pulling them off. Some companies (that make IC's) even recommend this, so no damage will happen. And they do slide off easier doing this.

Found some very early Thiels
Years back they had a 8" (I believe) two way, with the well liked (at the time) Peerless rectangular frame dome tweeter. They were branded Theil, and had a conventional box like these. They sounded decent back then. This was years back. I don't re...
Cardas Golden Reference upgrade to what?
Quit while your ahead. Just my two cents.
For real bass freaks??
I guess you have to smoke some good hemp first.
Are you an Audiophile?
Hello, I'm an audioholic.
Electronics cleaner
In the future, I'd lean toward Caig for home audio. The CRC stuff I've tried seems more for industrial applications. Keep a cloth around the part to keep it from getting on other parts. Even an aluminum case front might have a plastic clear-coat t...
i need a universal remote for a cal icon mkII cd
This is one of those companies that have remotes that they claim do the same. I never tried any of these replacement types, but may give it a try if needed in the future. [http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&mode=brand&brand=Cal...
i need a universal remote for a cal icon mkII cd
The different universal remotes say they have a lot of codes and name brands, but a lot of these (audio) companies have someone else make the remote part for them. Even if they list your brand, it could be hit or miss, and may only work some funct...
Carver TFM 35 vs TFM 35x
I'm guessing you'd be using half of each for the top and bottom. I haven't heard the THX, I don't think there would be much volume gain, if any volume gain, and I think it would be trial and error as to which one would be best for the highs and lo...
Carver TFM 35 vs TFM 35x
The TFM 35 manual mentions the Transfer Function Calibrated, and the TFM 35X doesn't unless I'm overlooking it. My PDF search isn't finding everything as it should either. I wouldn't count on them sounding identical. I've heard a little difference...
Carver TFM 35 vs TFM 35x
I had a TFM 35 years ago, and was always curious myself. I've heard they sound the about same from some, and did away with the actual TFM sound, and just got the THX rating, from what others said. Bob Carver already left the company I think, but n...
Receiver with assignable amp to power subwoofer
I don't think anyone has an A/V receiver that has enough current to drive typical 4 ohm subs. In the $500 price range, a lot of them that are rated at 100 watts per channel, will only drive one or two speakers at 8 ohms for the 100 watts. Some eve...
