Trying to get bluetooth headphones connected for TV audio
you should be able to use your phone as a remote with a Roku device.  If you haven't already, download the Roku app and pair your bluetooth headphones to your phone.  You should now be able to hear your headphones as long as they are "paired" in t...
Placing your record on a spinning turntable.
I can't imagine it being a problem as long as you keep using that felt mat on top of the platter. I wouldn't do what's being described with an acrylic or other hard material for fear of the micro scratches that would be the almost certain result.
Starting a Classical Vinyl Music Collection
I'm kind of in the same boat, although I just started with some Mahler, not for any particular reason other than I had liked what I'd heard at some point. I also have quite a few modern (avant garde?) composers that I've never really listened to s...
What are your favorite songs or albums for illustrating a deep soundstage?
Mahler's Symphony No.5 - I just listened to this record all the way through yesterday (DG, Kubelik conducting) and it's a very holographic recording, plus the fact that the music itself is amazing doesn't hurt.
Seeking Legit Cartridge Expert?
Seconding Brian Walsh, very knowledgeable and a super nice guy to boot.
I found my new reference album
Wow, just listened to the first two tracks from The Returner, what a talented artist. Thank you very much for the recommendation - I'll be picking (at least) this one up on vinyl.
Your Not-So-Obvious Best Fidelity LPs
I recently picked up a 1981 MoFi copy of The Moody Blues Days of Future Passed and it is pretty astounding. The recent reissue of  Zappa's The Grand Wazoo sounds fantastic, although my OG sounds pretty sweet as well. Joni has been mentioned, but...

Led Zep Fool in the Rain
@onhwy61 beat me to it, that video never fails to make me smile. Another great example (among dozens of others) can be found in Toto's "Rosanna".
What to do with dead equipment
@asvjerry, I hadn't thought of Ice Nine in decades, made me chuckle.
Ken Fritz article
I guess it all depends on your definition of "successful". This guy was successful in building the system of his dreams/everyone else's nightmare, but at the cost of a meaningful and fulfilling relationship with his family. My worry about my recor...
Denver used market?
my condolences to you and your family.
Imagine If You Will.....
I could probably spend an entire week throwing Joni's lyrics out into the wild...
Holiday Habits and Pleasures
@roxy54, thanks but I'm a very good actor and everyone in my family thinks I'm fine with Christmas.  All of this originated when we were cowering in caves and realized at some point that winter wouldn't go on forever, so I get that endings/beginn...
Holiday Habits and Pleasures
Every year I campaign to skip the tree and every year the suggestion is shot down. We generally do John Denver and the Muppets, the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack, etc but I can't wait for this all to be over; incredible amount of wasted resour...
