Shindo and synergistic components
Corton-Charlemagne 80 is a different amp and new, so I've heard and is 75 or 80 wpc. Best to confirm details with a dealer.

Verity Parsifals - not an easy load (not difficult either), but need, in my experience, 50W as a minimum. So far they sound better with even more power. They are 89db efficient, and drop to 4ohms as far as I know. With power, they become more ener...
Dust...It's Killing Me
I'm guessing that the dust is accumulating in the 22hrs a day you don't have your system on. I've had my dear mother sew me covers made of thick, high quality and breathable cotton in a color that matches the rack.Obviously the drawback is that yo...

Lokie: that Moscode sounds like a great option to try out. No retail markup and the ability to home audition - sounds perfect. The new Shindo Corton Charlemagne is an expensive amp ($14k) and puts out 75wpc. I just wonder whether there's an amp tha...
Shindo and synergistic components
I'm on the wrong side of the oil trade - being a consumer of barrels, not an owner of barrels! Thanks, I agree. I am considering the Masetto and the new 75wpc amp they have coming out. A new TT is in the cards, but the Shindo/Garrard is definitely ...

Aronsss/Patrickamory/Lokie: did you try the Masetto or Vosne Romanee? Just curious if you thought the step up (ignoring price points for the time being) was warranted in the performance of the line and phono stages, respectively? Thanks all for the...
childproofing rear speakers
Boys... don't care what the nurture folks say, they're definitely different by nature! My little guy changed from an angel to a rambunctious little one in two weeks. There's trouble written all over him - and I love it.We are of the same mentality...
childproofing rear speakers
How did you childproof your front speakers? Just put a childproof plastic fence around them? Electrical field? :)Seriously, would be good to know. I'm getting worried as my six month old gets bigger and stronger - those beautiful Verities are prim...
childproofing rear speakers
I'm assuming there's no back wall these are near? If so you can find the stud in the walls, you can mount them. Even if you can't find the stud - I imagine these aren't more than 40lbs or so?I've seen ceiling mounts, but they're not attractive.
Cars R OK, but what kind of motorcycle do you have
Cwlondon: The bike has been pretty reliable. I've been extremely frustrated with my dealer, the dealer I bought it from is a little shady too. I've had one significant issue and Ducati North America should be whipping the dealers into shape - but ...

I'm guessing your Mahi Mahi are not balanced (or have both). Any thoughts as to how they would mate with a balanced design?Lokie: did you have the chance to try the Shindo on your system, or did you do it on spec?Cheers
Cars R OK, but what kind of motorcycle do you have
Ducati Sport Classic (2006), Burnt Orange. Most exciting bike I've had, but service level at Duc leaves something to be desired. Mostly BMWs before.
Review: VTL TL 6.5 Tube preamp
Thanks for that. Did you consider the VTL amps to complement the 6.5s? The MB 185s and 450s are something special too.Enjoy and thanks for the well thought out details.Cheers
what's under your Parsifals?
Randy,What kind of angle were you able to create? I was only able to get 0.7mm higher in the back than the front - or about 1.5 degrees (if my trig is right) across the speaker. I think twice that might be really interesting to try. What I found by...
3a l'integral nouveau Vs. Verity parisfal encore
I have had Verity Parsifal's for 5yrs, and I can't be happier with the sound, the quality of fit and finish (makore in my case), and ongoing customer support (ie advice on placement, tweaks, cables, amps etc.). I haven't heard the other speakers m...
