I found the DeVores to be overpriced (in a fair comp) and the Zu is known to be too bright and fatiguing.  In that price range there are much better options, https://speakerchoices.com/?pricemin=5000&pricemax=9000 I would pull the speaker... 
Overkill for small room
I have/had a small budget and so far I found the best combination: tube preamp, SS amp. If you are open to used, you can put together a great pair for under $1000.

@mahgister wow, you are more extreme than I thought. I get my info from the ground from Ukraine from my relatives. The stuff you are writing is wildly inaccurate. And respectfully, to not hijack this post, I am done with Russia related issues here...
