How do you power EU items? and how to ship an item to USA?
May I suggest you just order one? I use two, somewhat more upmarket, and the effect is excellent! The wall-warts supplied work anywhere in the world

The EU has 230V mains. However, the wall-warts supplied with small devices often work 110-230V -- why not just ask the manufacturer?

A mogami cable is another reasonably priced choice that can serve you well. Regards
Recommended Speaker Design for Corner / Near-Wall Placement?
Reportedly, the Devore Fidelity range is designed for near-wall placement. Another small speaker is actually designed for against the wall placement -- unpronounceable name: SJOFN ("the clue" in Swedish, apparently)
Integrated Amp $1200 or less
If you're not averse to vintage, the Pioneer A7 or A8 or A9 were excellent amps, class A for some of the way (they had a circuit like Pass' sliding bias)Worth looking for! They go for well within your budget.
Amp and Preamp recommendations for Yamaha NS5000
There are 2-3 easy recommendations that come to mind for the 5000s:a) Musical Fidelity 800 NuVista or the latest M8xib) Dartzeel integrated model??? (there's only one I think)c) Accuphase e480All are integrated and their performance (IMO) easily b...
Which one to choose between two 80K$ tube amps?
@shkong78You're best off choosing the most transparent amp you can afford -- otherwise you're not benefiting from that plasma tweeter. In my listening room, 48 Watts SET is enough to drive my Lansche speaker ( oficial eff 99db/w, but I guess 95db...
Upgrade to Maggi 3.7i or Tekton Moab?
@trebuchet in my large room (20x18 with vaulted 18ft ceiling, leading into open kitchen) it just does not deliver the uumph that I am wanting when I want to "feel" the music hit meAs others have already said, in light of the above the answer to yo...

@viridian Many happy returns, old sport!A’gon has me as a member since 1970 -- how’s that for early, eh! And my thoughts are with those that have left us and passed on. Patrick, I really miss you. Another uniquely gracious, knowledgeable, and dee...

Yes, I think you will notice an improvement. Presumably your player is 35ft away from the preamp.Difficult offer a definitive choice of wire. I for one used twisted single-core interconnect when I used to have a long stretch from source to pre. Ca...
Time to upgrade DACs
Rather than solve the dilemma, speakers or DAC, let me suggest a 2-300$ alternative: a super re-energizer & reclocker like the one I use. (Fantastic little device, kudos to my dealer!) You should expect a fuller sound with better hi & low-...
Vintage Tannoy Gold vs Harbeth 30.1
The Tannoy Gold series speakers I know, are powered nearfield monitors. I listened to a wall-mounted pair of 8s (i.e. with an 8' concentric driver) and they were very pleasant. The Harbeths are a stand mount passive monitor speaker -- quite a diffe...
What could cause this amp to fail?
I am surprised it's the output transistors and not the caps. Just to be on the safe side, have the capacitors checked out.
In Defense of Audiophiles, Bose, Pass, Toole and Science
@erik_squires However, science does not end at the oscilloscope, nor should oscilloscope measurements ascribe value or desirability.I agree. In answer to your original question, however, I think we are still looking for the complete set of measure...
How many NICE looking high end floor standing speaker are there at present
@justmetoo For something different looking and, arguably, better (IMO)  sounding than your very worthy 961s, how about the Vivid Audio G series? Here is a taste of what they look like. The performance is excellent and the pricing ruinous -- bu...
