Network Switches Ethernet cables matter and they impact sound quality in important ways. Only way to know is to try for yourself. Speculation and thinking won’t get you there. You must try. If your system is resolving enough and you care about tone, realism and ot...
New speaker cables recommendations sought I would use the Duelund 12 gauge Polycast. Cost is low and they are even warmer than the cloth version. Use bare wire for connections. Cost under $100.
New speaker cables recommendations sought Duelund 12 gauge or Western Electric 10 gauge speaker cables DIY. Warm and full bodied with big stage size. Music presented with a nice sense of ease and natural flow. Can be made for under $350 DIY.. I have made many dozens of these.
Supply chain affecting anyone? I am thankful for what I have and what most of us all enjoy today. The sky is not falling and perhaps it’s time to take a deep breath. Sometimes the best way through challenging times is not to grumble or spread fear. Sometimes it’s best to be tha...
Help me pick one of four music servers/streamersreqi The Zenith 3. It has 3 separate LPSs built inside already. I found the the Phoenix reclocker offered little to no sonic improvement with my Mojo Audio Evo dac.

Fuses Adding to the list of builders who do bypass caps in the signal path are deHavilland and Danny over at GR Research. Both are big advocates of bypassing with the right combo in signal positions. I agree 100% based on my builds and mods. It can work...

Monarchy Audio made some fine ones, Aesthetix Atlas, several from Blue Circle Audio, Butler Audio and another one that I can’t seem to remember. All were smooth and had a touch that tube sound we like...
Circle Labs A200 Integrated amplifier review - It will appeal to both tube and SS lovers…… By new I meant a unit with some hours on it vs none. Both the Harbeth and Audiokinesis are great sounding speakers! I will need to read up on those Fink Team Kim. Not familiar with them. I think after a week of play time the A200 will reflect a ...
Townshend Springs under Speakers Same experience here with Gaia’s. I liked them better than spikes, but the Townshend Pods were a substantial level beyond the Gaia’s. Townshend helped my speakers disappear and gave my system a wonderful sense of ease that the Gaia’s could not match.
Circle Labs A200 Integrated amplifier review - It will appeal to both tube and SS lovers…… Seems you guys are getting brand new units! I imagine they will need some play time before the tubes and amp sound their best. Should be a fun time for you guys. Can I ask what speakers you guys are using? Love to know.
Fuses @lemonhaze,I have compared Path to Duelund, Mundorf and Mills MRA. The Path are the best as they are the quietest and most neutral. They have an uncanny sense of ease to them. The Duelund resistors are good, but compared to Path can sound a tad ...
Yet Another Post About Power Conditioners! Yes the Puritan after some two weeks of break in is very good. The video posted above by @mikelavigne had some great info. Thanks. It did mention the Puritan, but unfortunately they said some things about the Puritan grounding that is misleading a... |
