Duelund DCA16GA Now the Duelund 16 ga makes a wonderful IC......very good in this position!
Class D = Trash? I have rocks in my head as my SS amp and server are always on. I also keep my air conditioning, heater, computer, night lights, and several other " dangerous" items on at all times. Good thing my neighbor is a fire fighter.
Duelund DCA16GA Thus far I prefer the Western Electric 10 gauge wire over the Duelund 16 ga for speaker wire. The WE is far more full bodied and easy sounding. The Duelund is just a tad to thin sounding and too alive for my system. This is after 20 hours of burn...
Duelund DCA16GA I am using the Duelund 16ga on the high pass portion of my AZ Crescendo speakers. I was using the WE 10 ga as my sole cable on my biwire speakers. I kept the WE10 on the bass and now have the Duelund 16ga on the highs. Much more detail for sure. N...
Synergistic Red Fuse ... I like the thread as it covers a wide range of views and opens up our minds to areas worth considering and contemplating.
Class D = Trash? Again, one experience with ICE modules cannot possibly speak for all Class D amps, just the one amp you heard. Goodness folks. I heard a poor tube dac once so they all must have a ways to go.....crazy thought process correct?
Synergistic Red Fuse ... Agreed. Just talking about the amps for Wolf.
Synergistic Red Fuse ... Yes the power supply in my amp was not very robust and the iron was very small and light. Was the iron high quality? I don't know for sure but the ElectraPrint amp that followed it in my home weighted twice as much and sounded so much better. The ...
Synergistic Red Fuse ... I owned the Inspire Fire bottle amp and it was just average at best. Other amps can be for the same money used that are better performing. Rather plain sounding and I felt it lacked any real drive.
Most Important, Unloved Cable... Possible, as it is a form of mistreatment and mistreating a cable will indeed cause problems in the future.
Class D = Trash? I dumped several Cass A and A/B amps because they weren't to my liking. I guess they, as a whole group of amps, are not ready for primetime 😁 I also did not like a couple of tube amps in my audio life. I guess tube amps are ready for the trash. Y...
Replacing A Resistor/Fuse In An Amplifier Yes this can be done very easily IF you have experience soldering and desoldering on a circuit board. If not, you can EASIiLY lift a trace or worse and wish you never tried!
Class D = Trash? Subjective preferences at play here. No more, no less. I owned several 845 amps and liked them. I like my Class D Lyngdorf even bettter however. All about the total system anyway and it's synergy or lack of it according your your ears alone.
Most Important, Unloved Cable... The shielding alone will help in noise reduction. I think this is one area of improvement in my particular case. Best $15 I ever spent is all I know without a doubt!
Tekton Electron has been released Mac48025, I have not seen the internal crossover and wiring so I cannot say how difficult it would be to work on these. However I do know form experience that the Duelund wire, Duelund & Jupiter grade capacitors can dramatically improve a spea... |
