Are future improvements in Amp/PreAmps slowing to a crawl?
Class D is a poster child example of modern day innovation in audio amplifiers. It is indeed SOTA in some spectacular designs and will only get better. I suppose many manufacturers, Pass Labs included, are a tad offput at the fact that great sound...

For a 6sn7 preamp the deHavilland UltraVerve 3 Preamplifier will be hard to beat. Call her for best pricing and you will find it reasonable. The unit can be upgraded easily with a couple of part upgrades for even better sound. It is a wonderful 6s...

@porscheracer, Over the the years I have had the opportunity to own and listen two many top flight preamps. Far too many for me to list, but units like the Tom Evans Vibe & Pulse, CJ LS16 MKII, Audio Note M6, Supratek Cortese, TRL Dude, and ma...

7. Reasonable profit margin. The High End audio industry is full of outrageous margin pricing. Companies like Tekton and Core Power Technology are making world class products with reasonable margin expectations so many audiophiles can enjoy their ...

I am curious if you feel your power is overkill? Is the extra power a positive thing with the DI speaker? What are you using for a preamp and source? Thanks.
Current speaker threads are boring
I think @erik_squires is onto something. The threads are after all .... us.

@grey9hound I just read your earlier post and now understand your comment. My bad. Sorry. I get it now as I am indeed dim. Your Rogue amp is one of the best tube amps available at any price. I have read the reviews and know folks who own it. It is...

You must be joking? Right? Perhaps I am too dim to see your subtle humor. Threads are living and breathing, if you will,  and the ebb and flow of old and new postings/posters is natural and common. I love what I am learning from this last ebb.  Gr...
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
Way over and beyond for sure. Very generous of Mark. Love his products and have been reading about the Deep Core. I have a DC blocker circuit in mind and see he has put one in the Deep Core with great filtering and surge protection. Seems like a w...
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
@t_ramey Here is a link to a bulk buy I made on EBay for a military overrun on dampening material. I had enough to damp several pieces, woofer baskets, equipment rack, and still have extra left over. This stuff is conductive so be careful when usi...
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
The tranny is the only thing in the chassis. No other circuitry to protect from magnetic fields in these units, unless you think it is degrading the sound to the hard wired power cable on the unit.
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
I used cork also per your post! I used 1/4 inch directly under the tranny and over the CLD material. @geoffkait the tranny still buzzes and what are your thoughts about a DC  blocker circuit? Instead of tightening the nylon screw tight, I will rem...
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
Unfortunately it does seem as though transformers will buzz. That has been my experience. You may find that 80 or 90% of them don’t buzz, but some of us will always get the buzzers.i’m going to build a DC blocking circuit and place it inside my 30...

Great, I got the runt of the tranny litter 😥
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
Nice! I found the Furutech cord sounded great after just 4 hours of run in. However, unexpectedly things go south for about 3-4 days ( detailed and somewhat thin sounding) until all is wonderful. This has been my experience three separate burn in ...
