Audio cables ,and power cords the most forgotton- part of an Audio system. I tried all manner of cables and like an earlier poster the New Duelund wire is as good as I have heard. No connectors, fully broken in they are just wonderful.
Why does my system now have shrill top end. Moderators please remove all the insulting posts, perhaps kosst_amojan himself, from this site. He continuously insults and brings down the enjoyment and civility of this once fine audiogon community. This cannot continue without many of the long ...
Most Important, Unloved Cable... A couple of Ethernet cables and several linear power supplies. These play a critical and vital role in my overall enjoyment of music. Differences and improvement were easily identified and enjoyed. I am a big boy and can handle this on my own.
Most Important, Unloved Cable... I did over the past week. Ethernet cables and the power supplies to our computers, usb cables, modems, routers, usb cards etc. Amazing how everything’s matters in digital. Everything.
Most Important, Unloved Cable... Knownothing your points are spot on and I have learned to ignore those that just cannot hear differences and then make the mistake of assuming the same for all others and all other systems. Audiophiles around the world know better and really don’t...
Tekton DIs or Legacy Focus SEs? That’s a couple of years however. Did he really hear them? A couple means at least two.
Tekton DIs or Legacy Focus SEs? The DI speaker has not been out a couple of years?
Tekton DIs or Legacy Focus SEs? @facten that is a good question. Both versions really with the upgraded ones just an improvement of what is evident in the DNA of the stock speaker.
Tekton DIs or Legacy Focus SEs? I just don’t want the poster or reader here to think the DI speaker is a warm sounding speaker. Nothing wrong with warm at all. Just hoping for the best info for potential buyers. It is neutral, not warm. If you are suggesting they are warm compa...
Tekton DIs or Legacy Focus SEs? One can tell the innate character of a speaker if their system is close to neutral and they have heard several flavor of speakers on said system. Also, if a speaker is warm sounding, like my previous AZ Crescendos, one would be hard pressed to fin...
Tekton DIs or Legacy Focus SEs? Well your opinion differs from mine on the DI voicing. It is certainly not warm in the least. It is more on the neutral continuum . But, great to read different takes. Warm speakers include AZ Crescendo and Harbeth 40.1s, both of which I owned. I...
Let's talk power cords Try listening to your system without power cords and see if they matter. Yes they play a critical role otherwise we would not need them. Try using a lamp cord to power your your bulky monoblock amps and see how that goes for your ears and system....
Duelund cast Pio Hybrid Copper/Silver or Rs series with Silver Bypass PIO No worries on the oil. I am not aware of any such issues in real life usage. Oil impregnated caps have been sold for decades. This would be especially true for crossover usage where there are no heat issues to worry about.
Tekton DIs or Legacy Focus SEs? I would never call the DI speaker warm. They are rather immediate and present in the mids, upper mids and highs. They no not have a warm mid-bass character either. They are certainly a very resolving speaker, but as Charles says, in a natural man...
Tekton Double Impacts I see. Thanks Ozzy. I can understand why he would shy away from that. |
