Advice needed on power cables, wall warts, conditioning, electrical outlet @bogbeat Really good suggestions above. As mentioned I would replace your outlet(s) with something more robust. Check your outlets for proper grounding and connection by using one of those cheap outlet testers. Regarding power cables the sto...
Townshend Pods - How many do I actually need per component for max effectiveness? @gdnrbob No I didn't play the system without the pods or footers. Randy
Static electricity affecting sound reproduction. Please help!! I also hate that pesky static charge in the winter. I live in the Pacific Northwest so it's not a real problem unless we get a cold dry spell. I have noticed two things. There is some clothing that can cause it if you slide off your chair our c...
Townshend Pods - How many do I actually need per component for max effectiveness? @drack1 I have them on my tube pre amp. For me they didn't make as much of an improvement as the speaker podiums. That being said, I was using HRS nimbus footers on my pre amp prior to the pods so the move wasn't from nothing to the pods.
Puritan PSM156 @wtb Now that you have the Puritan you may consider the Puritan ground master city for additional ground improvements. Regarding ASR, measurements are one thing but actually listening is another. One of the only measurements I really care about ...

New Boenicke Audio W11 SE Speaker Review // A New Reference !? I heard the W8's at the last RMAF in 2019. The sound that came out of those small floor standers was jaw dropping. It was one of my favorite speakers at the show. I would love to hear the W11's and I do understand they like a high current amp t...
Adding a Herron VTSP 3A/360 Preamplifier to the system. Just go my 360 pre amp back from Keith for the "reference" upgrade from "esp". Again, after my initial listening it was more open and spacious. If you have the esp but not the "esp/ref" I would recommend the upgrade since it will probably be the...
New listening room question If you can't do double wall construction or double sheetrock, seal all cracks with acoustic calk. I would go slow on acoustic treatments until you get your room finished (furniture and equipment in). I think there is tendency to over treat rooms... |
