Old school vs new school audio???
Oh, Sony source. Sell that too.
Old school vs new school audio???
First thing I’d do is sell or give away the NAD components.  Stick with the Mac receiver for now, along with your Paradigm speakers, which you like. Then: what is your goal, and what is your budget? You don’t mention sources. Analog or digital or ...

MUST Have Vinyl
OK boomers! Lotta classic rock recommendations arriving in this thread. Among other things, I like bluegrass music.  Try Tony Rice, "Manzanita."  Or Alison Krauss, "Live" (MoFi, 3LP).
Emotiva not so good
@golferadam Maybe build up some credibility first. Before launching a troll post, that is.
(Early) Elvis compilation vinyl
The "Elvis' Golden Records" series (ca. 1963-64, volumes 1-3 on RCA Victor) are decent collections on vinyl.
Phono stage for 0.2mv cartridge?
If you posted your full system, it'd be easier to know what's going on.  Agree with @uberwaltz that there ought to be plenty of gain.  Is your old C100 working properly?  Have you tried another phono stage besides the Canary?  You're running a wea...
Phono stage for 0.2mv cartridge?
The ModWright Reference PH-150 tube phono stage provides a lot of gain and is very quiet in my system, currently set up with a low-output Lyra Kleos SL (0.25 mV output).  Dan Wright could probably answer some of your specific questions in this area.
Friend needs advice for $8,000 system
Integrated amplifier: I'd go used tube integrated (McIntosh), but new I'd say Rogue Sphinx with built in phono (tubes, $1500).Turntable/arm: Used is a much better value, but probably if new VPI Scout-level deck with VPI arm (about $2500)DAC: Schii...
comparing two pre-amp/phono section buying scenarios, so weigh in!
Line stage (not full-function pre) is a solid idea.  Gives you a lot more flexibility when you get tired of the entry-level phono.  Maybe even start with a Schiit Mani phono for a lot less money and see how you like that.  Then later spend more do...
Your first system and your journey...
First set up (in 1977) was fabulous Bose 301s + JVC receiver (including built-in graphic equalizer) + Onkyo direct drive (?) turntable. I paid cash, and it got the job done on my college student budget.
Budget Audiophile system under 2k
You haven’t given much to work with in terms of goals, sources etc.  But: The Outlaw receiver is good. A lot of people rave about the Elac stuff, but I’ve not heard them. Maybe consider vintage too. My posted vintage system, with an old 1970s McIn...
Thoughts/Advice on replacing a 20 year old system
Sorry, I read your post incorrectly and muddied the water: you have the MA352 integrated amp, not the MC352 stereo amp, which I'm more familiar with. But I think my advice is pretty solid otherwise.
Thoughts/Advice on replacing a 20 year old system
We both like the MC352. Suggest you immediately scrap the NAD preamp and move up, up, and away from similar products. For example, there are plenty of Mac preamps out there (new or used) that will be way better with the Mac amp you’ve got.  Add wh...
