hard 's'
The source could also be the culprit.Too much negative feedback used in the design can cause sibilance . Maybe some impedance issues between the cd player's outputs and the preamp section's inputs. Have you ever considered some form of buffer betw...
"This Latest Digital Amp Is Great "
All a matter of taste. I actually prefer the digital amplifiers to some tube and SS.Not to mention equipment synergy is a key.

Hi Music doc you can find plenty of info over on Audiocircle. I bought one .....waiting for it to be modified though.I also just put a order in for the Audio Sector Op-amps integrated. Maybe in the near future I'll get a chance to compare them. Lo...
Velodyne Digital Drive Series subwoofer in stereo
casperboo525@..you and Truthspewer remind me of the Borgs from Star Trek. When they say " Your resistance is futile".Just because we do not want to play in you guys sand box. You get upset. I'm here to tell you ..It's alright.. there's plenty of s...
Need recommendation for a dark sound interconnects
You could alter the sound by just changing the source or by changing the preamp. :-)

Velodyne Digital Drive Series subwoofer in stereo
I can put my hands on each driver simultaneously and feel them vibrate at different times on the same tracks. I suppose the subs only think their receiving a stereo signal as well. LOL

Velodyne Digital Drive Series subwoofer in stereo
Truthseeker if you haven't tried this in your own room what you speak is nonsense.LOL"If you can detect a difference, it's because there are now TWO subs in the room instead of one, and the strain on the single sub will now be halved"I'll be damn ...
Soliloquy 6.2 Very Poor Treble .....
BOA2 is correct..your speakers aren't broken in yet. I would hold off judgement till maybe 800 to 1000 hrs. Also whats the ohm load on those ribbons? Your going to need several different values of resistors to find the correct volume needed between...
Speaker placement for Definitive Bi-Pole Tower 30s
I agree totally with the suggestions. I owned a couple of the Deftec models as well. Really nice speaker for HT..Also the more current you can put on them ,the better they will sound.A strong 500 wpc wouldn't be too much for them..the BP30s eat up...
Soliloquy 6.2 Very Poor Treble .....
Boa2 I agree with you on the positioning of the speakers. And also allowing them to breakin. Too many times I've seen people waste a boat load of money trying to make a speaker do something that it's not capable of. I would think the main goal of ...
Soliloquy 6.2 Very Poor Treble .....
I once owned the 6.3s . All in all very nice speakers. The treble sometimes got a little hot.The speakers never sounded dull. But this may have been something else in the setup..who knows. Silver does have a positive effect on the Sols. Just stay a...
Speltz Anti-cable needs break-in period?
Realprober..the cables can only do so much. You may just need a subwoofer for the setup. Also so far the best cables I've come across were 16 awg DIY solid core silver speaker cables. You only need 24 ft..If I were you I would atleast make them 8 f...
Speaker choice, help please.
Ken my speakers are 8ft apart..no problems. I've listened to 5 inch single drivers that were 10ft apart..no gaps.LOLYou have nothing to worry about in that area. You would be surprised with how wide the stage can be with some 4 inch drivers..probab...
