Delos bottoming out anybody else experience this?
One other thing to check is the compliance of the cart and tone arm. if your arm is too heavy for the cart this can happen as well.
Cimpliance Vs Cartridge loading
The denon 103 needs much more then 100ohms. the spec sheet say more then 100ohms not 100ohms. Note also the spec's  from Denon were taken at 1000ohms FYI. I also have a Denon 103 on my second arm and I find 470 ohms to 1k ohm to be ideal. Mind you...
A problem with AC Power you may not have considered.

Thoughts on VTA......
I used to do it by ear then I got a micro meter on the fly mod for my12" Jelco and well now I wonder how I managed with out. makes it much easier and faster IMO, same results in the end. as for changing for thickness I really can’t tell the differ...
Line Magnetic 110Volt vs 220Volt
or you can get an electrician to wire a plug to 220vac. That said I ran a power transformer for years and didn't notice anything with it. I would not worry about a power transformer there is dozens in the grid just from the plant to your house wit...

Line Magnetic 110Volt vs 220Volt
Wow that's quite a disparity in price for a different tap on the power transformer, assuming that's all it is. even if its a different transformer 220 v and 115v would be very close to the same price for cost.  Now if your in NA the 220v version w...
Denon DL 103 modifications and re-body questions thread
I also tried a 103 to see what the fuss was about and frankly they are not worth the expence to mod IMO. save your money and upgrade to a better cart. I know a lot of you will flame me for this but the Denon 103 is quite vailed, is boomy in the b...
New to audiophile and need HELP.
I think some people here have already suggested going to active speakers. These will be your best bang for buck I think. The LS50w are fantastic but you will need a sub either now or later down the road. Elac has a powered speaker now as well that...
Tube phono amp
I would not say that Tubes offer more Dynamics they offer what all tubes do as in tube sound. If not done right they can be noisy in a phono stage, If done right they can be wonderful. If you can find a used Allnic or Manely you may find glory. I’m...
Good FM tuner for around $1K
Sansui TU717 and TU919 are about the best out there for reasonable money better then the Mag Dynalab lower tier entries by a good margin. find one recapped already, easy to find too. I wont get into a discussion here but a recapped 717-919 is a be...
Can this be good first tube amplifier?
In the end you get what you pay for and in the tube amp world that means quite a lot.  I'm sure it will work fine but I would not judge tube amps sound on those rather inexpensive amps. They look really good and if they spend that much on looks wh...

Stopping Vibration from Walmart trucks
I'm looking for an article written by the transportation department a few years ago addressing this exact issue along highways and roads adjacent to residential areas. if I find it I will pass it along. there is a few things you can do. mostly wit...
