Do all normal preamps have fuses?
prity much everything made in the last 30 years will have fuses, fusible  links, circuit breakers, etc of some sort to meet safety standards.

I'd imagine it uses an optical sensor to scan the surface for the track breaks and then the cart to play the music. I agree innovative maybe not the ultimate in resolution but still cool. I think there is a place in the market for something like t...

some one else may be able to answer this better but would a speaker designed for corner placement be better suited for your room.

if you have an android or iPhone get Discogs app there is a huge amount of information there and it also lets you maintain a catalogue of your records and what pressing they are. its free as well

Floor Protection Discs
go to a local machine shop and get them to cut and dimple some brass round stock cost next to nothing compared to other options and serves the same purpose. pennies and such can leave rings in your floor from the raised edge.
