Luxman vs. Accuphase Lots of great info in this post. I've been thinking of upgrading to a newer Luxman (550-590 class A) from my current Luxman 1986 vintage L560 50wc Class A (only lacking a remote to fully satisfy me). i'm on the fence too so this information in the...
VPI Scout 2 vs. Luxman PD 441 I just grabbed recently a Jelco SA-750L that's the 12" version for my Garrard 301 they run from $600ish to $800 for a 9",10".12" arm i think the 9" is about $600 US. I'm very impressed with the build quality and value. Way better then a moded R...
who likes the new changes of how you view the categories on this site ? separate the dealers from the rest tired of looking at 80% dealer adds and a few other sellers left. hell limit them too, just try looking at the tube integrated pages its all one dealer/brand ok exaggeration, but really too much. suppose they pay...
bookshelf speakers - what to buy? many of the Sonus Faber stand mounts can be had used at that price range worth looking at
Tubeyist sounding Pre-amp? in the Cary line the spl94 was better imo then the 98 the 94 had tube rectification the 98 had moved on to SS. I had a 94 slightly moded one with AudionNote caps and it was very musical and warm. I liked it better then the 98 but hard to find one...

Please help! - Buy VPI Classic or keep Technics 1200 I would suggest after many detailed but yet non-musical tables you go the Garrard 301-401 road. may be a bit more time to put one together but in the end you will have something that will last your lifetime. with tons of upgrades and plinth choice...
Turntables hit the mainstream oh that $3500 Canadian so a lot more out there for that kind of money
Turntables hit the mainstream seems expensive for what you get if you ask me. but does look pretty.
What are the smallest speakers that are clean and flat down to 20hz? sorry 56.5ft typo
What are the smallest speakers that are clean and flat down to 20hz? Also realistically speaking 20hz wave length is 56.6 ft long you need a combination of at least that in all directions to eliminate room nodes. so that much bass in any room with out treatment is going to give you issues. http://www.acousticfields...
What's been playing on your turntable and what turntable is it ? Mark Knopfler, Beryl on my Garrard 301 Jelco 12"er and Van Deh Hull MC10. if you have not heard this album its very nice specially the Ruth Moody dues she ahs a wonderful voice
Tidal streaming 192.0Khz/24it? I noticed you said your steaming it using chrome I find tidal sounds best through its own app. I've been using it on a dedicated mini pc from Asus that has an optical out plugged into my dac with nothing on the pc (win 10) doing anything to the ou...
