Review: Shure M97xE Cartridge Petsound - enjoyed your review very much. I'm a fan of over-achieving/under-rated stuff. Seems to me I have seen 2 very positive reviews of the M97xE here on Audiogon. I am definitely inclined to purchase one. Appears to be a great value. (I too h...
Ferrite Cores for Power cords Wilfredt - I did not do extensive a/b testing with various types or brands. I read a couple of articles on line. Parts Express had a factory close out sale on Ferrites. 79 cent each for >10. I put them on everything. It seemed like a potential ...
What songs do you never get tired of? I just re-read this whole thread. "Thanks", Frenchfries. You started a great thread. I read the responses and realize I ain't as alone as it might seem.
jolida 502b manual bias adjustment oh...ok - gotcha - I picked up an inexpensive multimeter from Sears. Probes are 4-5" long or so. It does take a little care to get a stable connection and when moving them, but again - no burns yet (famous last words).
jolida 502b manual bias adjustment I own the JoLida 502B. It was my first introduction to tubes. It is manual bias. Just use a long handled screwdriver...haven't burned myself yet. A 5 minute job at most.

Buying Someone's Records: An Ethics Question Jeffrebowman2k - Great decision. Good for you! Congratulations. I loved Classicjazz' statement, "economic gain is not the sole criterion by which one marks his time in this world."
Buying Someone's Records: An Ethics Question Wow - great question...similar thread posted earlier by someone buying audio equipment (Linn table, I think). What if everyone on this planet evaluated situations on the basis of, "treat your neighbor as yourself"? If you were in the old dude's si...
Who's Your Favorite Bass Players; Why? Jack Bruce. Went through all the posts...maybe 2 or 3 votes for Jack Bruce. Add mine to that sadly paltry number. Amazing interplay with Ginger on live cuts as on Cream's "Goodbye" and "Wheels of Fire". Melodic, rhythmic, imaginative. Not to take ...
