Determining current flow to install "audiophile" fuses.
I'm not debating after market fuses, power cords or anything if they are used as such and are to the standards. What I queried was that you had to "ask" the manufacturer, and that it was not stated in any doc or on their website about the fuses be...

I learned my lesson and always ask designers for the correct directionYou had to ask. As they would never put it in writing, as then that could very well be liable. Cheers George

Stop being engineers, real scientists would be finding out why there is a direction. It’s these engineers and scientists that use all the laws of electronics to design every piece of equipment in your system, and if by some chance you have a piece ...
Best DAC for CD redbook playback from a PS Audio Perfectwave transport
Best DAC for CD redbook playback Get the best you can afford that uses R2R Ladder Multibit dac conversion, as it does it "Bit Perfect" for Redbook (PCM)Stay away from all Delta Sigma based dacs that are for DSD or otherwise, as they only give a fa...
Lawsuits over "dots"
You should include Mpingo disc/pucks and directional mains fuses in those lawsuits as well.Cheers George
classe twenty five and classe fifteen
I had the DR25 Nice robust amp). From memory I recall (long time ago) both DR25 and DR15 had balanced inputs, these were a bit of a hoax as they were just an opamp that summed and they fed into the single ended input afterwards. Better sound is obt...

Na, not hype, but a great marketing ploy to suck in the gullible, and the odds are 50% of them won't do the 30 money back thing due to the embarrassment for maybe not being able to "hear" the "magic" difference. It's called suggestive selling with...
Bryston bda -1 or Shiit gungnir multi bit?
For normal CD's Redbook (PCM) replay, I would opt for the Gungnir/Yggdrasil, they are both R2R ladder Multibit and they convert Redbook more truthfully (bit perfect) than a Delta Sigma based Dac can do it, which the BDA-1 is.Below is a link on DSD...
Linn CD12 MK3
Thank you! Here for your reading pleasure is what is wrong with DSD and what's right with PCM (redbook) and if DXD was bought into it PCM would look even better.http://www.mojo-audio.com/blog/dsd-vs-pcm-myth-vs-truth/ Cheers George
Linn CD12 MK3
Hi Larryi, the reason Delta Sigma (1 bit) based chips were bought out also are not just more suitable for other applications but are also less than 1/10 the price to manufacturer. As there are no R2R ladder resistors to be finely laser trimmed, wh...
AMR DP-777, what am I missing ?
maxboy00 I found the DAC, to be exceptional.... especially on RB, which it will be use 99% of the time I'm not surprised, as I read that Thorsten Losech the designer of AMR gave the 777 a dsd chip only as a token gesture to keep the dsd crowd happ...
ARC VS115 Power Transformer Buzzing
The best sounding 6550 I found was the mil spec GE-6550 with green writing, and the glass was so much thicker than the others I remember, they had a real heavy dead sound when flicked with the fingernail.http://photos.imageevent.com/firstflight/4q...

Hi, Jafant, not the Linn, "yet", one day. But yes on the Cary, you can read all about it in this lengthy 1500 post thread. On how I used the AD844 without feedback for I/V duties on cdp's that use PCM1704K dac's, the last and best R2R Multibit mad...
Cary audio cd303t problems
Totally different, what the OP has, his is a 3 beam dedicated CD/SACD laser very different. What you have in the links below for the 303/300 is a dvd rom drive and laser in yours a DSL-710a. I can imagine Cary asking a lot more if they have his in...
Cary audio cd303t problems
If it was in a smoky/dusty environment, then a laser clean could fix it. If this doesn’t then a new laser could be in order. It seems from my data it uses the same laser that is in the Sony SCD-1 which is a KHS-180A.http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.ht...
