Determining current flow to install "audiophile" fuses.
geoffkaitGeorge, I take it you’re forfeiting? Excellent move. No!! just over your VOODOO bu****it trying to make yourself a guru with the gullible here, even though your technically inept. Or maybe your just shilling for a fuse manufacturer. Witho...
Bi Amping
For straight bi-amping, you need a level control on the amp with the highest gain, so you can level match them to each other. Neither of these amps you want to use has a level control, and it’s highly unlikely that they are identical in gain. You c...

Listen to yourself GK.You are certifiable, and should be committed asap.Cheers George

Let just say GK your bu****it is correct and that it is directional, do you honestly believe that you have the "Golden Ears" to be able to pick it up with just 1/2" of wire. Then sunshine, what about all the feet of copper tracks of the circuit bo...
Wilson Sophia 3 speaker and preamp mcintosh C50 .... Which power amp is suitable!!!!
http://www.stereophile.com/content/wilson-audio-sophia-series-3-loudspeaker-measurements#Bg6XMa0CYPECFV8F.97 Look at the tests done on these Sophia’s, the last 2 sentences first paragraph, indicates that many amps that have output transformers (tu...
Threshold S/500 Series II optical bias and Wolcott Presence on Sound Labs
PS: Should you want to keep it and get a service job done on it to bring it back to life, I have all the schematics for it, if you or your service tech should need them. I would say if original it would want all electro caps on the input/driver bo...

Your right Al I sped red it, and my apologies to mlsstl. The voodooist's know it's aimed at them.Cheers George
What size volume potentiometer do I need given the following gear specifications?
With a source 3v and output impedance of 50ohms, an amp input load impedance of 10kohms.A 1kohm passive log stereo pot is the order of the day, and is properly impedance matched, input and output. I would opt for an Alps Blue Velvet if they have o...
Threshold S/500 Series II optical bias and Wolcott Presence on Sound Labs
I owned an S500 optical for a while. Nice amp, it's a keeper, that is 250w and for memory used 20 bi-polar outputs per ch, and it has a big power supply, so it should have no trouble driving anything. For optimum sweetness the heat sinks should be ...

Got that totally wrong sunshine. Technicians that are also audiophiles use/calculate different technical assessment properties. Then make subjective listening assessments, to which sound better of those technical differences. There is no VOODOO, p...

All wire is physically asymmetrical due to being pulled through the final die. Ok now that you've said this, show where this is quoted that a 1/2" piece of resistance wire is directional.? Or is it your voodoo thought on the subject, and is not qu...

OK show us a power cord with two wire connection that has directionality advertised in the manufacturers POSTED docs/details. (not just an arrow on the wire.)Some two wire powercords that have a figure 8 plug that plug into the back of low power d...

Power cables have three wires, re-read my last post, sorry but you are becoming a lost cause, and can't see the forest through the treesCheers George

This can also depended on how the sometimes many +- conductors what way they are twisted together over meters which have inductance, capacitance and resistance , there is only ONE conductor in a fuse that's only 1/2" long!!!!!!!!!!!!.Cheers George
Determining current flow to install "audiophile" fuses.
Yes you are correct some interconnects can be directional, ones that have +&- conductors with a shield, that’s only connected at one end, that end should be at poweramp. But fuses are not shielded. And I still ask you or anyone else to post an...
