Dedicated line questions...
@jakesnak, that would be infinitely easier for sure, and a definite thought. I think I will wait until I get the ZLC in the mix and go from there... good thing is, I already have an outlet on an outside wall, so that could make the entire job very...
Dedicated line questions...
Yeah, in theory it is a piece of cake. Very simple. Unfortunately for me, actually running the wire would be very challenging.
Dedicated line questions...
@spatialking... that is essentially what the Decware ZLC is. I have looked at the reality of installing a line from my breaker to where I need it, and it would be a serious PITA to run new cable to that area. Basically across the entire house, in ...
DIY REL Speakon Cable?
In this particular case, there is very little current involved, as the high level cable is not a true “speaker” cable. The sub only draws a basic signal from the speaker outs. I’m thinking maybe a Belkin product or something. I’m not sure a typica...
DIY REL Speakon Cable?
Custom length. Already cut down the original and now need it to be longer. That’s about it. Why waste a perfectly good speakon?
Spotify premium doesn't see node 2i as avail. device
Update your Spotify account, then go into the Node and reselect Spotify as a source. This will, in a sense, reset Spotify to show the Node. It won’t show until you tap “airplay or Bluetooth” through the Spotify app itself. Then it should come up.
Does Age Matter?
54 and just getting back into analog in the last couple of years. But, what MC said hits the nail on the head. Analog preferred (usually) for “listening”. Digital for discovery and hanging out around the house. I often download something that soun...
SME Tonearms of Canada - Alfred and Company that sell new and refurbish SME
Alfred does good work. He rewired and rebuilt my V just recently. Straight shooter IMO. To those that say he’s expensive. Try sending your arm to SME for a rebuild and rewire...
Bryston BDP-1 vs Bluesound Node 2i
I looked at some of the “older” “higher end” units myself. For casual listening, I’m not sure you can do a lot better when considering ease of use, functionality, and overall sound quality than the Node 2i. The Bryson might be a little better soun...
“Marks on the underside”
Not sure I’ve ever even looked at the bottom of a piece of gear... seriously, who does that? I’m with the rest. Not worth the hassle. Buyer pays return shipping, get it back, refund. Be done with it.
Dedicated line questions...
I’m going to try a Decware ZLC in my setup and see how it sounds. Part of my issue is living in CO, thunderstorms are a very real deal. I asked Steve a few questions about his ZLC and it seems to be a very nice, well thought out product, that will...
Not in love with my system yet. Help!
Wow.. sub discussions are like oil threads. I agree with the above, if one works, two doesn’t... after ruling out a possible problem with sub 2, ditch it. If a problem with hardware replace it. For kicks, try stacking the two RELS. The “T’s” aren’...

What does 'cold' mean? What does 'warm' mean?
I look at these two terms somewhat differently, or at least use different adjectives to describe them... cold/harsh... warm/smooth, pleasing. At least to me, that is what I hear.
