Requesting Advice on Speaker Upgrade Thanks Bomd, Zu sells direct, but you can find them used here on Agon and Ebay.If you buy new, they do give a trial period, but I have to say they do require break in to sound their best. One of the reasons I recommend Zu and Vandersteen is that th...
Requesting Advice on Speaker Upgrade This is a bit of a challenge. You have 60 wpc, so you are limited to fairly efficient speakers. Perhaps a pair of used Zu speakers might fit the bill.Your room is nicely sized, so I wouldn't expect super deep bass without subs.Otherwise, I would s...
Wife trouble Boy, I'd hate to be a woman on this forum.B
2 sub-woofers. One with cable and one with wireless transmitter? I don't have any experience with this, but basic logic says to run both wirelessly. Of course, you could always try one wired and the other wireless and see if it makes a difference.I would be grateful if you posted your results.B

RCA interconnects, can I expect 3.5 meter to offer good performance? Couldn't you get a set of Jensen Transformers and convert the XLR signal to RCA? If you place the transformers close to the RCA inputs, you should have very little signal degradation.B
Tidal and MQA +1 erik.OP, remember that not all recordings are mastered properly, so even if they get an MQA badge, they will still sound less than they should.B
An upgrade a long time overdue I am in thrall with streaming music, at the moment. So much is changing that I am hesitant to invest in an ultimate solution, so I opt for what gives me the best reproduction for the least amount of money. Hence, the Ayre Codex. I use it between a ...
Don't buy from HigherFI.com @OP,Ebay has a concierge service that they offered me. I have to say it really is pretty good. I wonder if you can opt into it?FWIW, the seller has to refund you should the item not work as described, even if they say it is 'as-is'.Bob
