Bragging rights.....
@mapman, very interesting, Map! I have somewhat struggled a bit with doing this very thing as a wholesale change. I pretty well completed my "retirement" system a few years ago, and while I am not quite yet retired, the system is, and has, given m...
Upsizing Capacitors
Upsizing capacitance doesn’t always bring about improvements, and can create other problems if taking things too far. When replacing aging caps, especially main power supply caps, uprated voltage is fine, and sometimes, the temperature ratings, as...
For those of you who had spent over hundred thousand dollars for your sound system.
@ghdprentice  Yep, I do have the pickup truck, and for sure, I have done my fair share of helping with those moves! Hah!  On the boat side of things, a friend with a boat is a good one. I always wanted a boat, yet it was the one thing I could ne...
Anyone else feel like it’s the Wild Wild West?
In it all over the years, I have just learned to trust my own ears and go with that. Too much mileage that varies between each persons thoughts and feelings on any one topic, let alone the gazillions that we read about on all the forums these days...
For those of you who had spent over hundred thousand dollars for your sound system.
My system cost a fraction of the 100K, I do know at least I get to use it a hell of a lot more than my buddy who owns a several hundred thousand dollar boat, and one who makes fun of my "hobby" quite often. While I cannot judge if I actually get m...

They even come packaged in little coffins.
ARC LS7 preamp channels drop out intermittently

Point of diminishing returns for a Network Streamers?
@gerrie I too like the Lindemann products. I recently bought a Limetree Bridge 2, and it has worked flawlessly since day one, and sounds very good running into my LinnenberG Telemann DAC-Pre.  The nice thing too, looking ahead at where my system ...
AKM makes the best DACs
I love fish and chips, does that count for anything? 😊
which turntable for the future?
Bergmann, or maybe a Holbo Mk2, I have the original Holbo, and it is fantastic. Plays well above its price point, but of course doesn’t play into the snob appeal, so probably gets overlooked in the grand scheme of things.
Anyone dislike Ohm Walsh speakers?
Probably too busy listening to his Ohms. 😂
Have you ever been turned off by an Arrogant Dealer? Thoughts
I am sure that most all of us has this type of story or situation that has happened to us over the course of time. I guess rather than waste time and energy on those negative things, I’d much rather give the shout out to those that have given grea...
Linn Sondek LP-12 tonearm recommendations?
I always liked the Naim Aro, but another good one that works and is unipivot, the Roksan NIMA. Nice arm. FWIW
Are the new Ohm Walsh speakers Audiophile quality?
https://www.dagogo.com/ohm-acoustics-f5-speaker-review/New review on the Ohm F5, interesting read. Sorry if this has already been covered recently/ elsewhere…Oops, apologies, just saw Mapman’s post above, good grief…
Larsen speakers: 4.2 or 6.2??. Has anyone heard or own them??
Every room is different overall, and not always easy to make any kind of blanket statement, or even best guess. Corners can be problematic for many speakers. In your situation, my best guess is that the Larsen’s may work slightly better than the O...
