Supra ply 3.4 vs classic 6.0
I agree with most of what has been said here. I have used the Classic 6(12' pair) for a few years now, very reasonably priced and works well with my simple setup. I could have easily gotten away with less, maybe the Classic 2.5, but bigger is bett...
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
tuthman, this is a very simple and fairly quick response. Ohms and the Pendragon are very different in design and sound, not an apples to apples thing. I will say that Ohms work wonderfully in a home theater type setup(As well as 2-channel). I hav...
What is best tweeter height for the Devore O/96?
sunnyjim, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, this is a forum after all. What I do not understand, and it seems others here as well, is why you come onto this particular thread and start commenting on the reasons why you don't like Devore ...
What is best tweeter height for the Devore O/96?
Indeed I will, and I must apologize to all who might have agonized over the filth that spewed forth from my tapping/typing fingers here! I too could not sleep a wink....Enjoy your music all!
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
Thanks Bond for sharing your experience with the double F's. If nothing else it must have been fun to actually see them and witness them working, even if not the most ideal. Also, thanks for the info on the CLS tweeter crossover point, it really i...
What is best tweeter height for the Devore O/96?
Seeing how my post above was removed by moderators, I should mention that my comment on use of the "s-word" or crap had nothing at all to do with what I think about the Devores or John himself, highly the opposite in fact. Just wanted to set that ...
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
One thing I find interesting too, is that I keep hearing that the CLS tweeter/super tweeter supposedly comes in around 5-7 khz depending on what one reads. Is this really true or just here-say? I often wonder how the large main drive of the CLS co...
What is best tweeter height for the Devore O/96?
Guess my post was removed above, I shouldn't have used the s__t word and maybe used crap instead. Oh well, probably just as well. Carry on.
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
Peter, believe me, I get your thoughts and maybe a bit of frustration on the way things are somewhat hap-hazardly thrown together here. This has been a subject of my ultimate frustration as well on things in the past regarding "quality of build". ...
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
Yes, Merry Christmas to all!Peter, I do find that tweeks to Ohms can be interesting, and many have to chose to tinker and play. But my thoughts are simply once done, they really aren't "Ohms" anymore, but your own take on what you would like them ...
Building second system around Harbeth P3 esr
I would agree on changing the stock tubes for the Telefunkens, definitely a nice improvement. Still, out of the box and stock, the little Croft is a very nice piece! One can certainly spend more and get a good deal less.....
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
ps-my opinion only, but I would think the 1000's would be fairly ideal in that space. I had a pair of MWT's in a space a bit bigger, was still surprised at how well they sounded, not lost in the space at all. Obviously a little bass limited perhap...
Is anyone thinking about building Walsh drivers?
Many sticky wickets Jerry, many. But for those that do persevere, many rewards! Go get 'em!
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
One of the things I have enjoyed throughout this very lengthy thread, is that there may be differing opinions on the sound, the quality of build, many things in general about Ohm, but it seems to stay very civil. In this day and age of folks hidin...

Very good Bond! Who was John's assistant, did you get a name? Just curious. Hopefully they did get some good sales as a result of their presence at the show.
