The Cable Company allows one to test out any particular cable they carry on their own system.  How much better can it be for an in-home audition made suitable to one's own equipment and room acoustics?

I'm with sisyphus51, prof is boring.  I'm on this thread because I hear differences in break-in periods of components (parts of electronics, wiring, speakers) and believe in differences between them despite possible identical electrical measuremen...

I’m not afraid of using graphene even if the concentration were 100% as instructed for use as a contact enhancer. We know that it is not a significant amount weightwise and that the binder make up the majority of the product. Using the supplied gl...

rvpiano-I second your opinion!

GroverHuffman cables require a break-in period of no less than 15 hours. He won’t audition a design until it is broken-in. I usually cook them for over a day prior to listening to them (listening to his unbroken-in cables one tends to hear dynamic...

I agree with Elizabeth about purchasing inexpensive gear that sounds great.  My 2nd audio system uses a Pioneer DV-05 from 1998, a dual laser DVD player available for $50 on ebay everyday; however, it is modified at the audio and power stages with...

At this time, I would like to promote a high end, labor intensive, patented design IC from my friend at http://www.groverhuffman.com/interconnects He also has an Empress + (at $450/m) and the new Pharoah ICs (at $1,000/m). A common thread in this ...

Why is it that so many GON forums are for the purpose of conversation concerning various audio products? Are they also in violation of the forum "code"? What purpose are the forums if one cannot write about a product? There are 1000s of forums con...

Don't fret.  The SR Black fuses are great once broken in compared to ordinary fuses.  The SR Blue fuse is somewhat better but sounds great immediately upon installation.
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic
It's been seven months after first applying TC.  If anyone is interested in my opinion, I say that the SR Blue Fuse installation is more important than TC.  Two fuses cost as much as one tube of TC, so choose where you can afford to spend your fun...
What's happened to the used high end market recently?? Sales are tough....:0(
That is a very big YES. It is as resolving as most if not all my analog (a mod VPI TNT VI w/mod SME IV and Benz Ruby3). I listen to a lot of Contemporary CDs and they rival my original stampers. It’s all in the remastering with Phil De Lanci hit a...
Thumbs up for ultrasonic record cleaning
Michael Fremer reinterviewed Mr. Kirmuss at the Munich show. A lot to think about after hearing the interview.  https://www.analogplanet.com/content/if-charles-kirmusss-record-cleaning-machine-and-regimen-correct...

EAR CDP can be run direct to amplifier(s) with the volume control.  Otherwise, the recommended setting for output is at 2 o'clock.  There really wasn't an EAR Acute 2, it skipped up to Acute 3 with digital input, then the two box version and now t...
What Matters and What is Nonsense
Playmore.  Thanks for the support (and others).  As to the Pioneer, it's only an adequate player without the mods (six capacitors, of which some are power supply related, my engineer friend is the one who does the mods) and the A/C cable.  I bough...

As far as a great CDP, two EAR Acute sold on Gon a few months ago for about $1800 and $2000 each.  They are fabulous players.  I highly recommend them as a last player you'll need for CDs.  Get NOS 6922s and a high end power cord to get the most o...
