Duelund DCA16GA "Well im converted! Just got the Deuland 16ga and can see what all the fuss is about. Amazing stuff. So analog and non electronic sounding!"VERY NICE. In what position are you using the Duelund?
Cartridge rookie here looking for experience This Miyajima combo feeding the Giscours phono stage must sound sublime! I have a Kuzma 313/Tsd-75/A23 Homage T2 feeding a VR. Fellow happy camper here... Enjoy, and thanks for sharing.
Dynavector retiped I don't believe you can re-tip the 20X series. I believe Toffco has a trade up deal for original owners. This, from what I recall anyway....
Bardo and 10.5 vs Stabi S and 4point 9 I will ad, that I was also considering Stabi S (12" version), and when nearing final decision, opted for Ref 2/Ref 313 VTA. The Stabi Ref 2 never did it for me in photos, but I am very pleased with the look in person. Lastly, I will simply echo th...
Bardo and 10.5 vs Stabi S and 4point 9 Wouldn't a Stabi REF 2 with a more entry level Kuzma arm, come in right around the same price as the BARDO/10.5? I would think with a fair discount, and one of Franc's Unipivot arms, you would be swinging in the same ballpark. I've heard the Bardo ...
Duelund DCA16GA "I have a similar speakers setup - Altec 604E + Werner Jagusch Crossover with Belden 9497 between crossovers and drivers.I started to use DCA16GA as speakers cables and I like results.I also try to use DCA20GA interconnects and I feel they sou...
Devore Orangutan O/96 Resale Value My thought would be ballpark 65% of retail on either Orangutan series speaker.
EMT Cartridges Back in Production! Terrific cartridges indeed. I've been running EMT for around 10 years. Most recently breaking in a Tsd 75 on a Kuzma Stabi Ref perched on a Kuzma 313 arm. The Tsd has a high performance ceiling, and will respond to a good tonearm.
Amplifier for Altec Valencia speakers Very nice closdesducs. I also went up the Shindo preamp line from Monbrison to VR. Then CC 34 to D'yquems. I have a desire to try a solid state amp like one of the First Watts, but I likely won't do that anytime soon. Have you tried the Werner Cro...
Product to sit between turntable feet and wood rack Thanks for the advice so far. Perhaps I should mention.... My Lignolab rack is a suspended, and the turntable is also. Core audio labs can make me a steel disc which could be machined custom to the size of the Steel ball, so it would have a nice s...
Your last concert was to see who and when? Foreigner @ SPAC last Saturday the 16th. My expectation was sort of middle ground. I expected a good to very good show. I would say they were Very good to Excellent. Very enjoyable show. Earlier that same week, I made it to MSG (my 1st time) to se...
Well Tempered/CROFT/Harbeth...London SG or NAGAOKA chakster- good point, but I don't know that I'm missing something. The Charisma, to my ear, is a real overachiever at $750 US. Charisma Audio in Canada, is the distributor for WTL's. I had his 100% backing on this combination. So again, maybe the...
Well Tempered/CROFT/Harbeth...London SG or NAGAOKA Chakster- I want to say the WT arm effective mass is 10 grams. Low mass, yet with the damping seems to work with a fairly wide range of cartridges. I don't own the WT cartridge. I've heard it was quite good though.
Well Tempered/CROFT/Harbeth...London SG or NAGAOKA I think I'm an Amperex Bugle Boy man (-: I'm just looking to play to the strength of the P3's. Flesh out the midrange, plenty of body, yet not lacking detail. The Charisma is really very nice... I just want to avoid having to purchase an SUT, an...
Well Tempered/CROFT/Harbeth...London SG or NAGAOKA "Or you can play it safe and get the Nagaoka MP500". no romance- I assume with the Nagaoka MP (500) I would give up the London's insight in to the emotion of music. I guess it's just a matter of how much. Might the MP500 do anything better than t... |
