Kuzma Stabi S and 4point? overkill? Thanks so much rossb, just the type of feedback I was hoping for. The Kuzma line of arms were confusing initially, but I believe I'm understanding their offerings now. There are four 12" arms, which all sit above the Stogi, but below, the 4-Point....
Kuzma Stabi S and 4point? overkill? I wanted to give this thread a bump. I'm considering a StabiS 12, which is the 12" (stretch) version of the pipe bomb, and one of the 12" Kuzma arms... Thanks in advance.
Harbeth comparison? vsollozzo- Excellent write up. I enjoy my P3's quite a bit, and you have certainly wet my appetite. Cheers -Don
Duelund DCA16GA Thanks grannyring. I have have some of the Duelund 16GA at home. It’s cut to 4-single wire (10 ft) runs. I tried it in my second system (Croft phono integrated/ Harbeth P3’s) , and preferred my Auditorium 23 speaker cable to the Duelund. No shame ...
Choice of Vandersteen models You may want to check the Audio Connection website. I think they had at least one of the speakers you're considering used. Having had the 5A's in a room that was 23' X 12', my guess is your room size should be a factor in your decision.
Duelund DCA16GA Anybody try the WE interconnect? These is a seller for the WE on this site, who also sells the Belden IC... It sells for a bit over $200, but still reasonable as far as cables go. All of this IMO, of course... Cheers -Don
Well tempered gta and Allnic 1201 which cartridge? I haven't on the Amadeus. The VDH would be an interesting option. My guess is more open, and exacting than the Tsd-15. I assume that would hold true with the tsd-75. I think the Tsd strikes a nice balance with a big bold sound, but still with good...
Well tempered gta and Allnic 1201 which cartridge? If the Allnic has an SUT built in, perhaps an EMT Tsd-75 would be a nice match. I wrote the company recently and asked about Koetsu, and did receive a response. It was unspecific, other than a confirmation that many cartridges were used successful...
Mofi Ultra Tracker, reviews, opinions? Spenceroo- I'm sure it's an excellent table....enjoy! My last question referring to fixed income was for the OP. (-:
Mofi Ultra Tracker, reviews, opinions? Glad you're enjoying the Ultradeck. A very interesting option in it's price range, and not surprised you like as much as you do. Someone I trust very much was very impressed with the UT Cartridge, as far as MM cartridges go. In the price range, I ...
Gonna have to ditch the Soundsmith Carmen II There’s a thing on analog planet where a Quintet Black is compared to a Hana Lomc. It may be worth giving it a read. That being said, and without knowing it’s compatibility with your arm, my vote goes to Charisma (Denon) 103. I also think the DV 2...
Grateful Dead MoFi 45RPM Vinyl Reissues Bump-bump.... I've heard the MoFi 45rpm, the "CB" Rhino remaster, and an early press Green label. So far, the early press is king for even handed, involving, analog sound.
Lyra Etna SL vs. Transfiguration Proteus + Koetsu Urushi Certainly not a fair comparison price wise between the PC-1 Supreme, and the Benz LP-S. I liked the Ruby 3, but in my system, it didn't compare to Koetsu RSP. Here again (at the time) the RSP was $2,000 more than the Ruby. I hate to cloud matters...
Turntable upgrade recommendations, please. The groovemaster certainly looks very nice for around $2500. I enjoy the Well Tempered Amadeus very much. An Amadeus used should be around $1400, new with a little discount, within your stated price range.
Catalog Completist? Slaw- No so with The Doors or Zeppellin Studio albums. I'm guilty of missing Soft Parade from the former, and In Through the Out Door!Maybe Doors fans can forgive me, as I do have American Prayer (-: |
