Do any of you kids , want your system ???
To speak frankly, I don't care what they do with it. They can burn it if they want.
Apple Music
Does that surprise anyone? I said awhile ago that lossless was bs.

My stuff will be in the estate sale, I'm afraid.
Bi amp and bias issue
There are a TON of active single ended crossovers. Do you want rca or phone plugs? Balanced or unbalanced? Analog or digital? 2-way, 3-way, 4-way?
What is the sound level of Your Listening Room?
Not low enough. If you guys are getting 20dB, that is absolutely fantastic!
Turntable lid up or off?
Off, but dust is still a problem even with multiple HEPA air purifiers...
Old Amps that can still Kick Butt
Bose 1801 was a good amp. There's one on ebay now for $300 that smoked when they plugged it in... Although it doesn't compare to ultra high-end equipment listed on this thread, still a good amp.

Nope, to big for their apartment and to heavy to move around. They would rather listen to their iphones.
Is there a Solid State amp that can satisfy a SET guy?
The real question is how tubey are you. That's the question you need to answer for yourself. Best wishes!
Hearing aids for audiophiles.

@likklegerry - Anymore info from you? Are you using internal passive crossovers?
Replacement capacitors exploding
@jamesheyser - Are you still there? Any more info on brand, voltage or capacitance?
My experience with bi-wiring
Have you tried pure silver or silver plated wire? Say 12 gauge or larger? I tri-AMP using silver and it is the best. 10 gauge silver over copper for the bass and midrange, and pure silver 12 gauge for the tweeters.
Need some advise please on a 30 year old system
Don't let anyone low ball you on price for this equipment. The last Infinity IRS Beta's on US Audio Mart in 2017, listed for $7400. Probably worth more now. This equipment is very good stuff. Good luck!
Whats on your turntable tonight?
