Audioquest Two ended Bi-Wire terminations Could you please explain more clearly. The Bryston 7's are mono amps, by parallel, what do you mean? One for each channel in a 2-channel system? If you are just bi-wiring, it should not matter.
Mathew James amplifiers & Cello still around? I don't know but if you've done what you say, you should probably give up? Especially if you are looking to repair an item or buy new. No response means don't deal with them or you might be sorry.
Running Springs Audio Harley I don't know anything about RSA, but if the unit is doing exactly what you have described, it needs to be replaced. Probably not worth spending $$ to repair unless you can do it yourself. Especially true if you bought it used.
Phasing a biamp system You can use equipment to check phase, but you can actually do it with your EARS just as well. Put your head directly in front of your speaker drivers, turn on and play music or a low level signal near the low midrange or upper bass crossover frequ...
Whats on your turntable tonight? Led Zeppelin 1
What process did you use to integrate multiple subwoofers for 2 channel listening? kellyp - I'm not disputing, but HOW do you know it's FLAT to 4Hz.? Could you please briefly explain? So if my calculations are correct; one full 4Hz. wave is 286.96 feet, 1/4 wavelength is 71.74 feet, correct?
Class D amps seem poised to take over. Then what? Yes, probably including me...
testing a crossover Correction to my post deleted. 1/Lt = 1/L1+1/L2... So yeah, dcr is about 0.05 ohms or less. Initially thought it would be about 0.68 ohms, but that was incorrect.
Best sub isolation? Interesting concept, thanks for sharing. Sounds like a great way to isolate the TT from foot steps and dancing.š¶š
Class D amps seem poised to take over. Then what? earlF sure knows how to make friends and influence people!
testing a crossover Yes, thanks for the links, info and your input. To me, it looks like the wire gauge is 22 or 24. Doesn't appear to be 18 for sure, but hard to tell.
Capacitor +1 rodmanĀ George I think you are probably correct for the main purpose of THAT cap, especially if the circuit has it going to ground. Not super important and Auydn is darn good. If you want to spend $$, my choices areĀ Jantzen and Juniper for capac...
Class D amps seem poised to take over. Then what? I babysat a friends class D while he was out of country because he didn't want to leave it off. So naturally I listened to it for a while... Well, I wasn't impressed, I left it on as he had requested. I went back to my class A's for listening to m...
speakers for classic receiver Sansui made some great stuff! +1 for the G-9000 because of the extra power. Won't have a problem driving 4 ohms.
testing a crossover Lower than expected dcr for 0.22uH inductor; from what I can tell, a nominal dc resistance for that inductor is about 0.21 ohms. Think that is one area that needs some additional testing. |
