Manley Amp is humming - troubleshoot :(
Are you good with a soldering iron? Look for any capacitors that are bulging or leaking. A thorough visual examination of all components and solder joints before doing anything.
Stacking Components
Been discussed before, https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/stacking-gear-no-more-rack-space-does-it-affect-sound-quality*All electronics fail mechanically first. Either due to heat or vibration, good luck.

Oh, you switched channels not amplifiers. Output transformer is a possibility, but FAR less likely than a cap.
Krell DUO 300 XD vs Krell Solo 575 XD
Question, what speakers are you using, ML model? Yes, I'm familiar with both Krells you mentioned. Very good amps, but only 40v/µs rise time. They don't have the "sparkle" of some other amps in their price range. I don't like the fans when they co...
Reasonably sensitive speakers for tube amps, max $2k/pair, new or used
+1 Zu Audio.
Why have capacitors improved so much over the years?
Some good answers. Many new cap technologies driven by military applications primarily. New materials and improved manufacturing processes. Electrolytics have gotten smaller, but basically unchanged, still used because they are cheap. Capacity/cost.
FEX EX Damaged New Legacy's
I've received several items that were shipped "signature required". They were just left at the door, one damaged the other okay. Maybe it's a COVID thing?

OP, I thought you said you switched amps? tvad, think you nailed it.

I assume it still hums with all inputs (sources) disconnected? If so, then I'd suspect a capacitor in the preamp and will need service. Unless you feel comfortable, I would have a professional tech look at it.
Onkyo P-3000R gain adjustment?
I don't own one, but many preamps have adjustable gain through their onscreen displays. This is used to normalize the various inputs so one is not significantly louder than the others when switching between inputs. I'd spend sometime checking all ...
ZZ Top-Dusty Hill RIP
Sad to hear this, RIP. They could rock the house!
FEX EX Damaged New Legacy's
For me FedEx has been better than UPS since 1999. I did watch a FedEx guy throw my cellphone on to the porch from the middle of the street once. All carriers have gorillas and idiots, but UPS is bad and USPS worse. Some companies will use a freigh...
Nakamichi Dragon
I really doubt a good repair shop would have a chance at fixing a Dragon! Those things are very special and only a handful of experts. Heck, even changing belts is a major job. The guys that do it right use test equipment to select the best belts ...
Your thoughts on active loudspeakers
I started off making my own 12db/octave actives in 1976 with a TL074 op-amp, poly caps and metal film resistors, no pots. I did use manufactured crossovers to select the slope that I liked best, but after that removed it. The new LM6172IN opamps a...

If you're looking for someone to service it for you, Willie Herman on the west and ESL on the east. Advice can be had at Naktalk@lists.naks.com, good luck.
