Denon 2803 vs 3803 Yeah (non-critical jousting only mind you...it's all good and fine) "mborner" your nowhere near the truth on this one!Again, I've lived, eatten, and breathed custom audio video, HIgh end audio and HT for the past umpteen years, and seen and done m...
Denon 2803 vs 3803 ]("Maybe... but not in my typical room set up.")If your spending $4800 on a receiver for a "typical room set up", might I strongly suggest separates, yes! Again, Outlaw has even the Denon beat at 1/3 the cost!!!!..yes. I've sold, installed, and re...
Denon 2803 vs 3803 Fraction of the cost?(Denon 5803) Were talking about a $4800 receiver!!! There is no "fraction of the cost" in volved with $4800, I beg to differ.Personally, I don't think any receiver is worth paying even $2k for what you get! $2k is a lot of mon...
Acoustic Zen Hollogram II for Sonus Faber Speakers The transparent is a little more laidback/softer cable ingeneral. I find the AZ is a better match for your speakers. I used to own the Sonus Electa Amators(originals), and used AZ SAtori(double runns). It was superb! I'd try if I were you, yes. Yo...

Who Was Your Favorite One Hit Wonder I like Rhyno's choices...and I'll add Golden Earing's "Twilight Zone"
Denon 2803 vs 3803 I think the 3803 has better Processors than the 2803 if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure. I used to own the 2803(which I got as credit from a trade in), and it was just Ok overall for my tastes. I personally think you'd do much better adding another...
Can the Totem Hawk Rock? ..."I would not agree with Exertfluffer on driving these speakers into distress unless you cross them over at 80hz."This statement doesn't make any sense! First, the Hawk is a 6 ohm, 86 db, two way design with one tweeter and a small 5 1/4 inch dr...
Krell HTS 7.1 Room EQ. Why, does it matter? If he gets you better frequency response and sound overall who cares, right? Not to be confrontational. But There area lot of things to do to fix this stuff right. Most of your problems with needing to EQ lye in the bass reigio...
Can the Totem Hawk Rock? Rock?...realistically, at modest levels, rock'in would really need those speakers to be subwoofer assisted. I know I could easily send those drives into audible distress, compression, distortion, you name it. My suggestion for people wanting to ro...
Bloated bass and the panasonic digital receiver So you had another amp in there before that "wasn't bloated in the bass", correct?. Assuming a swap out from your other amp to the Panny, and all things set relatively the same, I'd assume you're panny isn't so strong to control whatever speakers ...
Powered vs. Passive Speakers Yeah, fine. I'll conceed this sounds like a plug for ATC's, ok. But I don't doubt that what's being infered above is so far from the truth. I've sold Wilson's over the years, and am familiar with what the WATT Puppies can do. I am also very famili...
Proac question I've not heard the 250's. The 1.5's I feel are the best in the Proac line IMO. For what they are, they're very well balanced. But, why not try them and see?...you can always find a buyer for those.
Sonus Faber HT completed. AVR/DVD needed. Forget it dude, you're robbing yourself blind going the "receiver route"! yes, the speakers are the main importance in regards to the gear, with the amp/pre/processor second, third, whatever.Do yourself a favor and look for a good pre/pro/amp combo.... |
