The midi range, not the tweeter, is the most important driver in a speaker.

SET vs Class A vs tubes vs Class AB amps
I don't think that the class of an amp is universally descriptive of the entire genre, except for SET's which are so power limited that they require a whole different class of speaker. I've heard Class A amps I liked, and some I didn't. Best,E
How to Connect Surge Protector and Power Conditioner
Hey Craigert,Most use a combination surge protector and power conditioner, since the functions overlap quite a bit. What is your current audio gear, and what are you thinking of buying?
Everything a crossover has to do ...
Thanks @audiocaseevanHis posts were such a ramble I found it hard to find anything specific, but "hooray me."

Sir, You need to understand just how pretentious Wilson and his dealers can be. E

The "best" signal is such a temporal thing. It is guesswork even by the original engineers. They are trying to guess what equipment you will hear it on and what will sell the most. The idea of being a purist, and instead of using tone controls swa...

Rocray - Of course, to preserve the location data you need good room acoustics. I strongly recommend GIK accoustics. Great advice and very cost effective products.
Fixing woofer, should I replicate actions on matching speaker woofer too?
It should be relatively inexpensive, a good idea, and will ensure the other speaker lasts a long time as well.
3D imaging
What makes speakers produce a 3D image is being symmetrically equidistant and pointed towards the listener. Period. While precisely balanced speakers are important, not all speakers sound at their best this way.  Quite frankly, some speakers sou...

If you want to do some research, look into Head Related Transfer Functions. For most speakers, having good room acoustics is key.
Romex to your amp?
TBC: Solid core is not approved for cords because it is brittle. Super easy to break it and not know it, potentially causing a fire hazard.
Help me upgrade my Mac system?!
What is your room treatment like??

RIMO :What university did you use for the anechoic chamber? And what you are describing hearing is more akin to comb filtering. What speakers were you listening to? Erik
Everything a crossover has to do ...
Hey there @RIMO,Listen, I'm having a real tough time following your meaning.  First you post some really interesting things about crossover design and then you write that the best crossover is no crossover. Aren't you essentially denying your own ...
Bending wave, low order crossovers and tradeoffs
I'm probably going to offend people who actually know bending wave transducers, but I think the Ohm Walsh drivers are great examples. In a normal cone, you want the whole thing to move, like a solid piston, but without the mass. :)  That is, ideal...
