Future of cables!
As I understand it, Litz construction would already address this issue, so I don't think we would get more expensive than that. Interesting as WBT and others have been drawn to minimum conductive mass connectors.
Accounting for slight hearing loss
Does the same corruption (sterilization) as what your recommending, even in front of your favorite dac.Whatever you do, don’t try a fix which might solve your problem because of the hidden bogey men who will come out of the stereo and rip your ear...
Equi=Core Hum & Other Issues
Try turning off all other circuits in your home next time. :) Did you add any new light bulbs, computers, or fancy LED lighting??
Who else here is frugal?
I hate frugality... :) But by your own admission, you seem to be pretty good at it, @mahgister;-)
Loudness Button
Hi @tooblue Listen, I just want to say that was a little cold of me. You should buy and enjoy what you like, according to your own personal values and aesthetic. I gave up on arbitrary perfection. I rely on tests, numbers and science a lot, but in...
Loudness Button
What happened to the old premise of straight wire with gain? Just saying, again I buried it when I realized how much personal taste and imperfection was inherent in music production.  It came back as a ghost of scientific perfection, which I had...
Audio Furniture has its own sound!
Pay attention to the coupling of the stand to the floor. The smaller you can make that footprint, and the less rigidly it is coupled the better.
Who else here is frugal?
Frugal audiophiles have better hearing than those who don't.  Fact.
Screw on banana/spade connectors
OP:I’ve used that method several times. The screw/sleeve/wire combination has been rock solid and never given me a concern, with either Furutech or WBT.The Furutech issues I had were all at the speaker side.
New Joseph Audio Pulsar Graphene 2
@prof  Yeah, we went through that in this thread :-) Exactly, but it seems like it's all new again. :)
i'm having a problem with digital brick wall mastering
Hey Sam,I’m not sure what you mean about brick wall mastering. There’s no way to restore data that has been removed, but ...there is upsampling and oversampling, as well as different types of filters used by the DACs, some with slower rolloff. May...
Screw on banana/spade connectors
Love WBT.  Shame they are so damn expensive though. Tried Furutech locking bananas, what a joke.
Class D amplifiers have very little phase shift
Oh, so to be clear, the phase angle of the impedance refers to the relationship of the voltage to current. The phase angle of the output refers to timing. The only thing they share is that impedance and output are complex numbers. That is, they hav...
New Joseph Audio Pulsar Graphene 2
Guys,Read the seas white paper on the graphene mid woofer.  They make it pretty clear it is an oxidation retardant. They also make it clear they have made significant improvements to the motor.
Class D amplifiers have very little phase shift
Above all, everyone, I want to point out that I’ve made 1 claim. The impedance chart is being misused. There are several great ways to argue that Class D has a lot of phase shift. Show your work. Show the chart. Post specifics. Find a review, or da...
