Location of computer relative to system
The number one biggest issue from a PC around an audio system tends to be the power supply and the amount of noise it puts back into the AC line. However, I would not put it directly on top of anything, especially an amplifier, which needs cooling...
Power Conditioners
Here's the most brilliant bit of marketing I've ever read, from the Pangea page, listed by the OP: There are zero current-limiting circuits or electronic components of any kind inside." The Furman conditioners with LiFT and SMP have lots of comp...
Is room treatment a science?
So in the scientific view of acoustics we have a lot of different waves propagating back and forth across the room. Our scientific goal is to minimize the cancellations and reinforcements in order to hear the original signal as clear and undis...
Interesting Fed Ex encounter...
Man who contributes very little , and pays nothing to read is appalled that the quality of content on this site doesn't meet his editorial standards.
Is room treatment a science?
My two suggestions are, talk to GIK Acoustics or learn everything in Floyd Toole's book:  Sound Reproduction: The Acoustics and Psychoacoustics of Loudspeakers and Rooms https://amzn.to/35WboEV and ignore the trial and error people. :) Best,E
Is room treatment a science?
Yes.  Room acoustics is a science and is written about by much smarter and more accomplished people than I.  I like to read Floyd Toole when I want to pretend I'm smart.  Otherwise I ask GIK Acoustics for advice. I will say after lots of measureme...
Very small room! Help me with monitor speakers
Check out Fritz.  His series crossovers are particularly good with tubes, and if you tell him you want a true bookshelf he can adjust them accordingly. :) http://fritzspeakers.com/The slit-paper mid-woofers he uses are among the warmest, best soun...
Mix and match highs and lows
Depends, but you are getting into the arcane knowledge of speaker building. You may want to ask this question in DIYaudio's multi-way forum. Generally, if there is enough overlap in the range of the two, then yes, but no idea what you have for cro...
Power Conditioners
Being an electronics technician, my recommendation would be the Furman, will get the RF. Hey there, @pcrhkr - Furman makes different grades of similar gear. The Furman models which I recommend have LiFT and SMP, which are effective down to 3 kHz...
Lamm pre amp
Also without a remote, and I've never heard a Lamm, but the CAT remains one of my favorite preamps of all time.
Looking for amp reccomendation
If I'm not mistaken, the NAD 7 channel HT amps are based on nCore amps? Good stuff. If you want to try something else, I absolutely would not suggest Pass as the only brand you should listen to. The triad I normally suggest in solid state is Luxma...
Who's bought a piece of gear only
Never, but let me tell you about my first nine wives ...
Multiple smaller passive radiators or a single larger one or two?
This question would probably get more interest in DIYaudio. Best,E
Center speaker placement?

Best roof antenna for vintage tube fm tuner
+1 on the rotor. :)
