Interesting comment on Bose Speakers.....
The premium Bose system in my 2010 911 is really mediocre sounding. The only people that think it sounds good don’t know anything about audio. Modern Bose is a joke in audiophile community and no kind of praise can ever change that. There’s also n...
Changed subs from speaker level to XLR after many years. Wow!
Interesting about Rhythmik’s suggestions.  One of the things I noticed yesterday was that turning on the subs (via XLR) caused even higher guitar notes to sound fuller and more in the room.  Listening to the quieter tracks of David Crosby’s if onl...

Here’s an actual smart person (who designed the powerplant) showing how to measure a power conditioner.
Something about " reclock " & "dejitter ", which I couldn't comprehend...
I haven’t watched the video but to add to the issues, as far as Ethernet, there is galvanic isolation, and Ethernet cable grounding that have made a huge difference on my system.  And we thought vinyl was tweeky?  I think digital is far tweakier.
Any feedback on Sam Laufer’s Memory Player?
I heard one many years ago in a reviewer’s system.  The entire system was about $400k and fantastic.  Of course I couldn’t identify how much the player attributed to the sound quality.  It was a unique item back then, but today at least as far as ...

Regarding the PS "review." Science is based on replication and peer review.  If the  output used didn't measure correctly, why wouldn't a site with "science" in their name not test another outlet to verify results?  It's lazy.  Or reach out to the...

What people like @Prof are ignoring is that according to PS Audio, the fake science site (my term) measured the wrong AC output. Has anyone seen them publish a revision or retraction? Any legitimate site or journalistic source would immediately pu...
Lansche plasma tweeter replacement every 5000 hours.
Interesting.  I have been interested in these tweeters for years but never had the ability to hear them.  Years ago I wanted to add supertweeters to my main speakers and was looking into plasma.  I had no idea they had a limited number of hours.  ...
Why is most everything remastered?
@elliottbnewcombjr RIAA is not part of the discussion. It’s been a standard for a long time and not a variable regarding the remastered vs. original. What I referred to was the the actual production process for making LP’s and the practice of mak...
Why is most everything remastered?
Let’s not forget that for vinyl anyway, the tapes used for the cutting were very often a copy with bass rolled of so the phono carts of the time could track it. New vinyl masters don’t require that since cartridges are better today and it’s a seen...
What is an audiophile? Are you an audiophile?
Let’s not forget that music reproduced by Hifi is a step backwards fidelity wise, compared to how music had been enjoyed since its inception. Music was always played live and in person, often by family members to entertain each other. Being an au...
Mogami - Quad 12 ga. in the house!
Interesting.   I am about to buy an entire 500 foot reel of Belden 1313a 10 gauge to run about 200 feet of speaker cable for home theater.  I thought this was the best cable at the price range.  Anyone ever compare the Belden with the Mogami?     ...
A Warning for Owners of Furman IT Refernence 20i
Thanks for the response.  I do have to say I really like Garth Powell’s designs.  In my main system I use the Niagara 7000, and like that it stores energy for transients.  I also have an modest home theater system plugged into it and it really mad...
Audiophile recordings of stage musicals
I can’t point out any classics, but two more recent Broadway cast recordings That sound good are Sting’s The Last Ship, and Dylan’s Girl from North County.
PS Audio PowerPlant 12 Review (AC Regenerator)
Paul McGowen posted that the “review” measured the wrong AC outlet. I don’t own a powerplant so I’m not familiar with the different outputs, but Paul said they should print a retraction for the error. I call it the “idiot with an analyzer” phenom...
