Cryo-treating CDs?
I have been using a Radio Shwag bulk tape eraser on my CDs for many years. It's cheap and it's like a Bedini on steroids.
Magnets on cables?
Slappy - God doesn't have a tax bracket. You're thinking of Satan, the inventer of the IRS.
Magnets on cables?
We've got water cables, cables that glow in the dark and cables with batteries on them, so why not? Gotta keep an open mind. A closed mind gathers...nothing.

As the fruitcake lady would say: "for Godsake man, try them both and use the one that sounds better".
Vandersteen 2c sock removal
Be sure to practice safe socks.
3-D Movie Is A Metaphor for Non-Audiophiles
My daughter, being a singer, bring a lot of musicians over. With 8 foot tall Acoustats and a Room Lens in the middle they often ask for a demo and I oblige. Usually they enjoy the demo, ask lots of questions and are open minded since they all use ...

Sweet not so sweet
I also have a big screen TV between my 'stats and had no image width and no depth. With the lens I've got a big wide stage and about 30 feet of depth in addition to a much wider sweet spot. No other room treatment is necessary. BTW, I recently bou...
WBT Topline or Nextgen RCAs for Pass X250
Any joy you might gain by a 1/2% improvement (doubtful) would be negated by the recovery from surgery to repair the slipped disc you'd get from moving this amp to the workbench. Any time you move a component, especially a heavy power amp, you risk...
Sweet not so sweet
The Room Lens can be kept in a closet when not in use. It weighs about 15 pounds.
Sweet not so sweet
I had the same problem with my Acoustat 2+2s. The problem was solved by a single Argent Room Lens between, and behind the plane, of the speakers. The sweet spot became the entire couch. Still preferring to sit in the middle, I replaced the couch w...
