Why are so many people trying to sell Harbeths? There's a TON of Harbeths in this world.
Any monitors clearly better than Pulsars? I've heard the Raidho D1 with Luxman tubes and I've never heard anything so beautiful in my life. My close friend owns a shop and of everything he could pair with the Raidho, this Luxman amp provided the sweetest sound. For my personal taste, ther...
Ayre AX-5 Integrated Amplifier Ctsooner, I realize it's been a year. there was also an Esoteric CDP in the mix. I do now however find the Hegel no better than the AX5, but no worse for sur e
Phasing out of Compact Disc My wife didn't realize it was an import. I just checked and yes, it is. I'm going to keep it as I have found many times in the past that as Zephyr mentioned, the imports are usually better sq.
Is KEF no longer relevant? The Revel are very nice. They come with the benefit of having an enormous amount of money to throw at R&D.
The best speaker you ever heard? I spent some time at a friends house today listening to the Raidho D1. This was the best sound I've ever heard to date, on all genres of music. In all fairness, the entire set up was very well thought out and my friend does own a high end shop. He...
McIntosh & the Bachelor Pad I think we should start talking about Hobbies. I'm beginning to consider audio a job.
McIntosh & the Bachelor Pad I had a sweet bachelor pad for 8 years from the age of 31 through 39. My mailman referred to it as The Skinnin' Pad, which I never understood. The answer to your question is a Knob Creek Perfect Manhattan. You need to add a little bit of the cherr...
What time do you wear? Bombaywalla, yes I have the black dial with the red GMT 24 hour hand and the stainless bracelet. I love this watch.
Tinnitus For me, I usually don't notice it unless I think about it at which time it gets very loud. I haven't noticed it in days until I read this. I think you get used to it. It certainly won't hinder your enjoyment of the music.
Rogue Audio Raymonda, Rogue did the same thing for me (exceptional customer service knowing I bought second hand). I have more respect for Mark and his crew than most people On this planet. I love the sound of the gear as well.
Can't decide on Integrated Amp - Please Help Simonmorty, my apologies for not responding to you last month. I did not compare the H100 to the H200. I compared it to the Ayre AX7 and Luxman l505u. I loved them all but the Hegel worked out best for me at the time. I would have been happy with ...
Can't decide on Integrated Amp - Please Help I was in this situation last year. I looked and listened to everything on your list plus the Luxman l-505u and I ended up with the Hegel H200. I can't stand the looks of it but wow does it sound right. For me.
Headphones and Hearing Loss I agree with Kijanki. Sennheisers are so nice to listen too and so comfortable. I only own AKG K702's and would NOT recommend them for your father. I do however have a son with the Sennheiser 650 I believe to be the model. They are fantastic.
What time do you wear? Thanks Roxy. I always wanted an automatic that I could hand down to one of my boys. One of them really likes watches so he can have this one when I kick. We like to travel so the dual time aspect of the watch will make it fun on our next trip. |
