What's your favorite lyric from a song?
He hears the ticking of the clocksAnd walks along with a parrot that talksHunts her down by the waterfront docks where the sailers all come inMaybe she'll pick him out again how long must he waitOne more time for a simple twist of fate.
--- have you ever seen these speakers before???
I thought Sherwood was the absolute bottom of the barrel, as in sold at Walmart and Rat Shack and possibly a line of clock radios at the drug store. I'm not trying to be funny here.
Atlantic City casinos closing...
"Who on earth wants to drive 45 minutes to gamble? I just don't get it at all. "What I mean by this is who wants to drive to a single casino in the middle,or nowhere. The beauty of places like Vegas and AC is that you can casino hop and the area o...
Atlantic City casinos closing...
They keep proposing more casinos in Upstate NY where I live and most people don't want them. If they build them there will be a bunch of partially filled dumpy casinos around. I don't gamble but I've been to Vegas and AC and part of the fun was pa...
Walking Into A Brick & Mortar High End Audio Store
Retail workers never look at the other side of the story. Maybe you should inform the customer on the downside of buying such gear online. I personally would never (and have never) bought anything more expensive than headphones and a headphone amp...
Walking Into A Brick & Mortar High End Audio Store
Half the people that go in with no plan to buy probably find a way to buy something after they do it. I know I've been getting ready to sell my Harbeth C7es3's and REL sub after my local shop gave me a nice audition of the Revel F208 when I wasn't...
Interstin - New Jack White LP
Jack is a slick dude and I love the guy and his music. He gives me hope. He's a hell of a role model for today's youth (and as far as I'm concerned HE IS today's youth).
Floorstanding Speaker Feedback
I'd say Revel F208's, especially if you like electro stats. I don't consider them small but sure would be nice in a 600 sq ft room. I'm sure you've read the reviews. I've spent some time with them and I personally fell in love. I've been preparing...
Cars. What does the typical audiophile drive?
Still driving the 2005 Toyota 4 Runner with 73k miles. I've kept this to pull a small camper to the Adirondack Mountains to camp. Also a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg Edition. Lots of fun to drive this car. Last of the good Jetta's.
Sweetest Lock Groove Records
I understand the locked groove and am familiar with the Rush example but for the life on me can't think of one. I don't spin vinyl and longer but that doesn't really matter. Can you give a couple more solid examples?
Once again, impressed by NAD
I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for NAD. I owned a c317 (pretty sure that's what it was) in my late twenties. It was my first venture away from brands like Technics. I loved that integrated. I passed it on to my third in line who's in his...
Which speaker should I choose?
If you like the way they sound you should keep them. You might find better answers to your question in the home theater forum.
Top 3 Most Overrated Artists contest in R&R.
Exile on Main Street is one of the best rock records of all time. Maybe like too 5.
REL Magic
I've got a B2 and will consider the cable upgrade if I keep the sub. I'm considering Revel F208's and I'm my room I wouldn't need the REL with them.
Upgrade advice needed
The first thing I'd look into is what Almarg suggested about the volume settings because I had that happen to me once. It wasn't with my laptop but the volume remote for my integrated was turning up the volume control on my CDP and result was simi...
