@rauliruegas    I only use BO carts in B0 turntable. They are meant to go together. I do have a Soundsmith Boheme for my standard tables.

I own a BO table with SMC2 cart rebuilt by a gentleman in Scandinavia.I wonder if BO radical break from large standard 1/2" wide body size resulted in benefits - resonance, mass, etc.?

I used current Namiki offerings to get the sizes:Solid rod 0.3mm diameter and 5.0mm long.Hollow pipe 0.3mm outer diameter and 0.2mm inner diameter and 5.0mm long.Both with a 0.1mg stylus.Results for the first flexural mode:Rod - 18.7 KHzPipe - 20....

Actually, @rauliruegas , the damping is a property of the material, not shape.A stiff metal like boron will have about 2.5% native damping. Presence of an elastomer may increase system damping to 10-15%, but may not affect the primary flexural mod...

I have six tables in my main system. Two of them are configured for rapid headshell changes. One for MCs - I have about 10 and the other for mostly vintage MMs - about 12 of those.

I can report that a new Nagaoka MP-300 is an excellent cartridge. Still getting to know it on a Rega Planar 8, but umpressions are of a neutral yet very engaging sound.

One item I am looking for, on the MC side, is the old Clearaudio cart with a strange dual side pinout and a unique wood "body" - really a bracket. Sigma gold it was called.Anybody knows of a source?
