Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
I really like my 610!One would think that Astatic would want their cartridges to be visually differentiated, if they did all this work to develop a really different motor.Mitachi cant take out a patent for Astatic. Patents are assigned to the inve...

Actually, I consider all of these cartridges to offer high performance level. Any one of them can front a very satisfying audio system, if matched into a sympathetic front end and amplication chain and speakers that compliment its presentation.Lis...

My phono preamp does not allow for changing MM impedance. ADC is on P-mount adapter - Sony PS-FL1 has a SONY headshell that takes 1/2 inch mount cartridges only.

Glanz 610 is great out of the box. Transient and tonal detail, great imaging and focus. A bit lean right now bur should fill in as Stylast works its magic. Clearly a great all around cartridge. Very happy to have snagged it.Now I have 4 identical ...

Thank you, is there a manual or other reference you have? I could not find much on this cartridge.

I purchased Glanz MFG-610LX from my Japanese dealer. What should the tracking force be? Perhaps our Russian friend can help. Pomogi!

Stanton stylus deficiency is easy to fix. A small amount of Mortite or similar damped viscoplastic material placed iside the hollow part of the plastic stylus holder, after the brush has been removed. It gets squeezed between the holder and the ca...

Keep in mind, whatever was calibrated 30+ years ago (and in the consumer world, it should often be in quotes) is most certainly OUT of calibration now.

Propagation velocity or another metric based on stiffness and density are reasonable simple ways to compare materials.A more meaningful and precise way would be to define error between tip motion and coil/magnet/iron movement. An ideal cantilever ...

==then don’t do it, you don’t need it and from my self I don’t need either more of any kind of " agressive " posts to me, your post is not seriously agressive but not friendly at all. I re-read your posts and that’s my conclusion.Do it a favor and...

Raul,Conversing with you is very strange. When you say on an audiophile forum that something is very good, the standard interpretation is it is good sounding. After all, that is what the discussion is about.Next time, please be specific in your co...

Thank you, Raul for reaching out to me privately with cartridge sale availability. At the moment, i have all available turntables filled. I generally dont like changing cartridges, hence 8 tables!Your answer on tonearms confused me further. Since ...

I used to be kind of a snob about tonearms, investing what was a lot of money for me for a Rega P9.However, today I am getting decidedly excellent sound from vintage Sony PS-FL77s, with tangential Biotracer P-Mount arms.  Even the "lowly" FL1s, wi...
